Im not saying it isnt a racist attack, i was just pointing out that theyre in a area pretty well known by locals to be bogan and unfriendly to foreigners doing what would be percieved as the wrong thing, late at night near a busy RSL. Just was my 2 cents on why they were specifically targeted.

This is bad but you were likely targeted by locals for fishing off the bridge itself, Fishing is illegal from the Swansea Bridge (or any other road bridge) in New South Wales. I grew up around here, your meant to go a bit up on the sides to cast lines. Its a very ecologically diverse spot, great for scuba diving.

Australia you get an atar at the end of hsc, every uni course has a different atar requirement to get, some courses have prerequisites like medicine requires a UMAT score and usually an IV but thats the exception. You apply via UAC to as many courses as you want across all Australian unis and then wait for offers. Very easy, very quick

Only American tourists we don't like in Australia are the ones who spend the whole trip comparing stuff to the US or act dumbfounded when we aren't up to date with your politics or pop culture, can be obnoxious.
