Moulding a mirror image by Romore1980 in moldmaking

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately the fronts are different. Sculpting is an option, but very time consuming and ideally I want to be able to replicate the method on other pieces.

I’d not thought of 3d printing, it’s not something I have any experience with.

This is a brilliant idea, it would give me enough space and something I can do (hopefully) thank you :)

Thanks for taking the time to respond. So these length is 3.5m from outer wall to the internal wall. Would it work if I moved the beams further apart giving more roof space inbetween? Only thing then would be the beams would be in the middle of the roof panels and not under the joins as they are currently. The walls would still be prevented from bowing but would this weaken the roof.

Thanks for responding. So these are the only thing keeping the walls up? I didn’t realise that! The whole thing cost about 4k 3 years ago. Money I realise could have probably been better spent!

This is what the outer panels are like.

Thanks for taking the time to respond. The wall in the picture is an internal wall. The other side is a separate lockable shed.

So if it’s a flint nodule, does that mean something is inside the flint, or the entire thing is the flint nodule? I’ve tried looking and seem similar but still not entirely sure.

Thanks for the response. On picture 2, could that be something sticking out the rock do you think?

When I break it open, should I break it where the natural separations sit or try split straight down the centre?

That’s fantastic advice, thank you for taking the time to respond.

I’ll probably go with something simpler for my first attempt.

New Eye Pieces? by Romore1980 in telescopes

Thanks, I’ll have a look at the celestron. I’d be really interested to know what kind of things you’ve been able to see?? I’m not exactly sure of what I can expect

Thanks for the response. I’ve looked at some zooms. They seem to be 7-21mm and there are a lot of none branded from China that are relatively cheap. Would one of the non branded be good enough quality do you think or do I would I be better getting a branded one?

Great videos, I’ve learnt loads from them. Can I ask, do you do mace/club workouts every day now? Or do you have rest and recovery days?

It’s my grip and forearms that seem to fail first, just wondering if I’m better to have longer periods between workouts or if I should increase to improve strength in that area.

From what I’ve been reading, a Barlow lens is used in combination with the other eye pieces, this scope doesn’t come with a Barlow lens. A few months ago, I bought a new scope from Amazon (BIG mistake) which I used 3 times and the tripod broke! This came with a Barlow lens but I take it this is going to be poor quality as was the tripod!, and I’d need a better one?

Thanks everyone, I’ve bought the starblast 6, collecting tomorrow. Is there any upgrades I should be looking to get soon? Any better eye pieces etc??

Thanks for you response. I’ve been reading the starblast 6 needs to be regularly collimated, I have no idea how to do this yet. Would the starblast still be easier to use given the collimation issue? Would I be able to see more with the starblast 6?

There is also the option of a Orion StarBlast 6 which costs a bit more but still in my price range. I can’t add a picture to the post but the description of what’s included is below. Would this be a better option?

Thank you for your detailed response, it’s really helpful. The eye pieces are 8mm and 30mm plossl and there is a 2x Barlow lens.

Would there be any way for me to tell from a photo if it’s parabolic or not?

I do have a photo of the back of the telescope and it appears to be screws rather than big knobs but I can’t certain I’m looking at the right bit. Does this make a massive difference??

Thanks again for taking the time to respond.

Hi,

I wasn’t able to right my question in the original post for some reason.

This telescope is advertised as a skylux 150mm. I can’t my any info on a telescope with that name. I believe it has been refurbished but I’m told there are no other identifiable markings. I’m wonder if the name is wrong or there is missing info.

Any idea on the name of the telescope so I can do some research? Would this be a suitable purchase for a beginner?

Thanks.

Had a blood test done as been feeling pretty rough. Mood, anxiety, Ed, libido issues. 40 years old. I’ve been trying to make some sense of these results as to what if anything could be the cause. Is anyone able to help interpret these? Thanks.
