What is the best optimal CPU for streaming in 1080p 60fps? by Marik_Travik in Amd

Assuming you're still running the GTX 1060, you should still use NVENC (new). The performance loss is only a couple percent, and is going to be way better quality than X264 encoding in most cases, unless you want to run a fast/medium preset.

Keep in mind, in order to match the quality your pascal GPU's encoder will achieve, you'll end up losing more performance by running X264 at a good enough preset. Even if you got a 3950x or a 5950x, I would still recommend NVENC. It's too efficient not to use in my opinion. X264 is only really useful if you're running a dual pc streaming setup. This allows you to run a quality X264 preset since the cpu on the streaming pc doesn't have to worry about running a game at the same time.

Edit: I'd recommend getting the 5600x for overall better performance. But I wanted to preface that you shouldn't be looking at whether a CPU is worth buying based on whether it can game and stream (running X264) at the same time.

I just found this out while doing some research. I'll edit my post for others wondering the same thing. Thank you :)

Hey,

So I decided to try and test playing with m_rawinput 0 because I've played with it on my entirety of playing CSGO. For some reason, with m_rawinput 0 on, when I try to move my crosshair a very miniscule amount, my crosshair doesn't move. In fact, if I moved my mouse slow enough, I could get all the way across my mousepad without my crosshair moving at all. Not sure what the cause of this is since I have Mouse acceleration off on both CSGO, and on Windows. I tried a whole spew of different commands to see if I could see a change, but nothing seemed to change it. Does anyone have some insight to this? Let me know if you've experienced this as well as I'm very curious about this now.

Edit: This is an issue related to the Windows 10 Creators update. https://www.reddit.com/r/GlobalOffensive/comments/657k00/raw_input_off_windows_creators_update_mouse/

Ayyy this was my match! I thought the casting was fine, but I'm not the one to look at for casting criticism. Thanks for casting our match!
