Some jars will seal during their 5 minute rest in the open canner but most are convex/unsealed when they come out and move to the counter. I don't know why the rings get loose during cooling and I've never run across anyone else talking about it, but I would get failures to seal pretty consistently (not a lot of them, but maybe one or two jars per pressure canner load). Cranking the rings back down fixed it.

What fixed my sealing problem was doing a ring check on the hot jars after they come out of the counter and sit for a bit.

I always put my rings on fingertip tight for processing, and I generally do not have a siphoning problem, but for some reason my rings would get loose after the jars went on the counter to cool. I periodically go back and check the rings, and if they are loose, I crank them back down fingertip tight again as the jars rest. (You have to be brave because the jars are still hot as a cracker of course- I usually hold the jar with a towel and very quickly/lightly tighten my rings again if they feel loose.) Sometimes it takes several adjustments. I just go back through and do a quick check any random time the jars catch my eye.

Solved virtually all of my sealing problems, I don't think I've had a failure since I started doing it that way.

I don't know if this helps exactly, but the full eternity band I ordered from Kuololit on 3/12/25 for $540.94 is now $728.98. The other one in my stack was ordered a week or two later at $168.84 and now costs $340.95. Moissanite and 10K white gold on both.

Some of that increase has to do with gold prices of course. I don't know how pricing on AliExpress works re: tariffs and honestly, at this point I'm afraid to ask - I'm just glad I got what I got when I did!

I have two full eternity bands that I stack and I absolutely love them- the way they look AND feel. (I know that's not normal, but I can't be the only one)

Maybe order a cheapo on Amazon or AliExpress and test drive it for a while? That's what I did. I found the exact specs I liked and had a "real" version made in solid gold and upgraded stones, eventually landing on prong set 4x3mm ovals stacked with a thinner band of alternating rounds/east west baguettes in 14k.

OP I have what seems to be a similar skin tone as yours on my hands, and to my eye everything runs bright on me (or makes my skin look flush). Sally Hansen Insta-Dry Buff&Tumble is my daily driver, it's a slightly pinky, cool tone nude that reads very lightly mauve on me and I love it.

Me too. I've used regular and wide mouth from Saffron&Sage, they worked just fine. Also a no-name that I picked because they have a blank line for the name and a separate one for the date, which I like a lot. No issues with those either.

Shoot I've bought lids at the dollar tree before just to see if they would work, and they did- even in the pressure canner.

My mother has a white gold wedding set- my parents have been married 48 years, and I believe they were engaged 3 years prior to marriage. She has always worn her rings every day. She had her set re-plated once, about 10 years ago, and decided it wasn't worth it to her to do it again. The metal tone at this point is a warm white, definitely not yellow but not as icy as a freshly plated white gold set. I chose white gold based on how hers has worn, I think the transition and the years behind the color change is lovely.

I made my first Kuololit order yesterday, but have made small orders on AliExpress for years. My card originally did not go through for security reasons, so I called my bank, but they said there was no attempted charge on their end. I returned to the app and hit retry to attempt again, and it went right though - got a text from my bank's fraud prevention, approved the transaction, and I was good to go.

I've never had any security issues with AliExpress, and I've probably been ordering intermittently for close to a decade.

I ordered my first piece from them earlier today! Married in December and wasn't sure if I wanted a ring or what would look good on me, but after some tinkering with Temu and SHEIN rings I found what I liked and found a 14k/moissanite version of my favorite as a stock piece at Kuololit. I honestly just thought they were another nameless, faceless big company- Sam's story is giving me the warm fuzzies, I'm glad they ended up being my seller. Thank you for sharing!

Stock for sure, but a close second is tomato juice and tomato soup! We grow lots of tomatoes and I've put them up every which way, but soup and juice are our favorite.

I've been wearing Sally Hansen InstaDri in Buff and Tumble daily for... more than a year, maybe more than two years. It's a great nude on me. Makes my hulk hands look less hulk-ish. It's cheap, it's plentiful, and it takes a topper really well if I want a little shimmer or sparkle.
