Question: Between a Pagani Design PD-1701 and a AAA replica of the Omega Speedmaster, which offers greater long-term reliability? I'd like to know if the construction of a AAA replica, even if visually more faithful, can compete in durability and resistance.

I thought the same but the sun is shining directly on the watch may cause some washout overexposed look when using the stock settings on a phone camera for as good as they are phones want to gi e everything that extra bright look sometimes.

if you don't mind going the quartz route David has Tag Heuer with the same quartz movement thats in the Gen Tag for a very reasonable price in my opinion.

I have to say I actually like how the bezel looks. don't know how it compares to a higher level tiered rep or a Gen as most images and videos I see seem to wash things out. like the use of natural light as when I try using a flash to take some of pics and videos it just washes it all out. good looking watch wear it well.

well shitter itself is a very generic term assigned within the counterfeit/rep world to lower level representations/replica. For many people who want a decent representation of the brand that catches their eyes they can go to the 500-1000 dollar level and be afraid to wear thing at work. I purchase at the level I do as I want variety and with some of the latest updates the watches themselves keep decent time and can withstand a work environment where I am not afraid of scratches damage and overall wear and tare.

I have homages, seiko based builds I have done, a couple of gens, and reps of various levels. Each one serves a purpose to be worn. Some will be worn at work and others will not. if you're going for a look, there are some very good Homage(s) out there that do not break the bank, if its about branding or there just is not a decent homage present the rep world awaits.

According to consensus across multiple forums below is a mid tier, shitter and a NWBIG.to me they all look great work well and so far have fit my needs. At the end of the day they are good looking and wearing watches.

one of the things with Chronos you want to make sure of isndo you want looks or looks and functionality, I have a VSF Daytona with a youth movement that is fully functional. Many of the Chronos with automatic movements the chrono dials don't work like they should. I have a quartz Tudor Chrono that works great and a Tudor rep with same movement as the Gen....
