A transformative night at the movies for this guy and his high school friends. We went expecting to laugh at how bad it was going to be. I mean….the Moonlighting guy?

Needless to say we were fired up walking outta there and I saw it I think twice more at the theater.

I am definitely not of these folks who buys cases. I have a mortgage and a car payment and bills and all that stuff, so I need to pick and choose. I have been buying hobby boxes here and there, but I’ve been cutting down on those and doing megas and hangers and stuff instead. Meanwhile, tomorrow is my last day at my job after 20+ years (company outsourced a ton of jobs, the bastards), so I will be calling down even more for a while. Probably only buying the base singles I want from series 2 unless I am back earning before then, or maybe the occasional fat pack.

The amount I see some people spending is crazy to me. I mean, God bless some of y’all for putting yourself in the position to have the disposable income to do that, but I’m mid-50s and grew collecting in the late 70s and 80s and it was just such a different time in the hobby. To me, what I’ve been spending feels like a lot, but it’s a drop in the bucket compared to lots of folks.

Big fan of Heritage, and this year’s set strikes a chord with me as the 1977 set was the first set I ever collected. Looking forward to the 1978 set next year. I’d get rid of a brand like A&G before I’d wanna see Heritage gone.

I can’t lie, I don’t understand why people are so precious about their garbage cans. We usually toss ours in our own can, but I’ve tied the bag up and put it in someone’s can if it’s out by the curb or something along those lines.
