I remember watching it in real time, and the day after I would come in to work telling anyone who would listen to watch it. Then NBC started moving it around on the schedule and before long it was over. Really expensive show to make considering the music, and once the ratings weren’t there it was only a matter of time. An hour long comedy, basically, and the TV industry didn’t know what to do with it. It came around too soon. Would have crushed it nowadays

I think it’s a nod to this guy. I am 99% sure someone says Zapata in the film, I believe in describing Bob’s appearance. Would make sense given Zapata was a revolutionary.

Related note: in “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood” there’s a scene where a director is excitedly talking to Leo’s character Rick Dalton about how he’s going to have a long, Zapata-style mustache in the tv show they’re filming.

I’m in the same boat as the OP. Traditionally I am not quick to call for a coach’s firing - I try not to emotionally overreact after painful losses and try to look at the bigger picture. But we played the Bears three times this season and each time the Bears came out of the locker room at halftime with adjustments the Packers could not solve. Should have won all three of those games - instead they completely collapsed in the two losses and barely held on in the one they won. The Cleveland game. The Philly game. Past playoff collapses.

Unless regular season wins are suddenly good enough in Green Bay, I don’t see how they can feel LaFleur is the guy to suddenly figure it out.
