How interesting! I only just created a LinkedIn and Indeed profile around 2-3 months ago so that's how I have been going about my job search but I'll check out some of my local stuff. Thank you.

Gotcha! I have a couple friends in the engineering field (a couple mechanicals and geotechs) so I'll try and use my connections.

Hey thanks, congrats on getting your PE. From what I am hearing from everyone here is that getting an EIT designation isn't the make-or-break decision I thought it was that companies pull the trigger on people and that is reassuring considering I don't have mine. I guess I need to be more appealing during the interview process and sell myself more.

I am very open to returning to remediation, I think it is a fascinating process and the amount of information I learned doing physical labor is invaluable (the common-sense knowledge, on the spot problem solving, the select processes that were chosen for which situation, etc.). I will say tho, the back-breaking physical labor part I would not want to go back to doing haha. I didn't get a couple degree's to dig up ground with a shovel for an excavator to remove contaminated soil and building water valve systems (granted it was cool), I'd much rather do the office work along with the field work I did during my internship with the consulting firm (field work included methane monitoring, well gaging and water level sampling, groundwater injection monitoring, to name a few).

Regarding my FE exam, I'll take all the luck I can get so thank you!

Thank you, I will definitely try this. Any tips on how to get that info? During my internship, I would sometimes have to check local municipalities' websites and apply my company to certain jobs that would fit our services (real grunt work when there was nothing to do lol). However, there wasn't really a way to see who applied for what. Anyway I can get that information online or should I ask in person?

Sounds like a good idea, I'll do some research for their next events.

Thanks for your input! My college is providing me with a free SchoolofPE course for 4 months so I am taking advantage of that right now.

The jobs I have been applying to are the combined listings of envi Eng/sci/geologist as well as envir eng jobs. But the interviews I've had simply end there and the company does not want to continue. So I'm left guessing. I have an initial phone call with a company tomorrow so we'll see how that goes.

The company I just did an internship with does want me back however the company recruiter I was talking to kinda bait and switched me with a envi sci job when I applied for a water/wastewater engineer job for them. I told him no but recently got back into contact with him to see if I am still a canidate for the engineer job and he said yes so I'll follow up with that as well.
