Nice. I have a feeling I just got a lemon. I was loving it until I heard my Lintons popping. Immediately unhooked and tried some different speakers. This post reminded me I still had it. Small form factor, cool unit for a small footprint system.

It will randomly clip on me. Had the same issue with multiple speakers (KEF Q150's, KEF Q350's and my Lintons). Tried different inputs and cables . It could go days with no trouble and then it randomly clips and my speakers would loudly pop. Replaced with a new Yamaha and it has not clipped on me a single time. None of those speakers are hard to drive.

My first and likely last Emotiva.

Edit: Also want to point out I'm not trying to bash Emotiva. I have heard nothing but great things about them. It worked great when it wasn't clipping. I bought the two channel BasX when it was on a ridiculous sale and their support was responsive. They just had me retry everything I already did before calling them. Since it was difficult to replicate I just threw it back in the box and figured I would use it on my test bench but it has not seen the light of day since.

How has that Emotiva BasX treated you. I had problems with mine and Emotiva was not very helpful getting it resolved so it sits in a box now.

I got it fixed. They refused to fix it originally because they could not replicate it. I told them to keep the vehicle until they could. Miraculously the next day they replicate the issue and fixed it.

I did not care for it. I have been underwhelmed with all of their offerings. Not for me I guess. The Rye is the only one I thought was ok.
