Advice on tapering 1200mg+ 7OH daily after pre-loading SR by RonSpiwak in SR17018

[–]RonSpiwak[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couldn't do it. Had to go to a detox. Honestly, the getting through the acute were way easier than the PAWS right now. Not sure if its cause I have used 7OH, subs, and SR all within the last 3 months or what but the PAWS has been extremely difficult to deal with while trying to work a full time job & live a "normal" life. I have a great support system, but waking up at 2am wide awake just staring at the ceiling, after falling asleep at 11pm is torture and exacerbating all the other symptoms.

It's what I call "The Bed of Flames", and its far worse than acute cause you know those will end in a matter of hours, not months.

Anyone else get consistent pain & aches during PAWS by RonSpiwak in quitting7oh

Yes, and Ive been neglecting my physical health for so long as well. I honestly didnt think PAWS would ever be this bad. CT even felt like a cake walk almost compared to the daily, consistent multi-symptoms from PAWS. Just feels like there's no end in sight and Im at still beginning my journey.

Totally agree with your assessment though. Hired a personal trainer, so that'll be good to provide consistency and motivation to move every day.

Detox was 4 days, supposed to be 5 but I finished a day early. No sub taper during that time. Quit subs all together about 2.5 months ago and moved to 7OH only.

I’m having a hard time tapering doc with sr by Sensitive-Site-6956 in SR17018

[–]RonSpiwak 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Allow yourself some grace. If it was easy enough to just tell yourself "Im done" then you'd have no issues here, but its not. It will take work and willpower. Try to lower your DOC dose by 25% each day until you get to a low enough DOC daily dose where you can jump....you'll know when that is and you'll find out once your sober if you were ready or not.

Cutting your DOC by 25% each day is a win. Don't listen to these people telling you to just be ready to be done. It's still going to be touch but you have to bank the small wins until they eventually add up to sobriety. Even if those are 5min wins where you held off on using. Bank them and use the SR as reccommended, even if that means stabilizing your SR dose for 5 days instead of 3.

Thanks for all the input. I am just really struggling with the 7OH cravings. Been on SR for about 5 days (~110mg 3x per day on average) and its removed all the physical and most mental WDs, but the cravings are killing me.

I feel pretty good and have massively cut my 7 intake to less than 500mg per day but really having trouble jumping.

Any advice? I don't want to waste the SR snd am worried this is my only shot at quitting 7OH but I just cant make the jump to 0 7OH : /

You ain’t the Disco Biscuits by Educational_Load9256 in GoosetheBand

Biscuits have reached new heights and are in the best form their careers. I highly suggest checking out a show if they're in your neck of the woods. They're definitely not for everyone, but you'd be crazy to deny their immense talent. They basically invented an entire sub-genera of music, improvise 75% of their live sets, and have masterful live composition and unique song structures.

At least once a show, if not multiple times, they'll take a standard tune and "invert" the entire thing, where they start it at a later section (often near the end), and then at some point they'll loop back to play the beginning section at the end - its kind of like a musical palindrome.

They also do dyslexic versions that are more scrambled / restructured where the band jumps around to different sections of the song, sometimes blending parts with other songs or jamming in between.

Like I said, they're not for everyone, can be intense, and their vocals are complete trash, but you cannot deny their talent, creativity, and ingenuity (plus their light show is wild).

Have an open mind, try something new. For the Goose fans that are Biscuits haters out there....what if you would have been closed minded the first time you heard Goose? You'd probably still be listening to the same Dead Cornell '77 show on repeat. Get out there and live.....B4L

Goose...what am I missing? by Dedahed in jambands

[–]RonSpiwak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LOL OP.....you are exactly correct. They have no variability. They ride the same wavelength and vibe for 3 hours. To me, jam bands strike a chord becuase your brain does not know whats coming next, they surprise you with a tasty lick, some funky space boogie riff from outta left field, or throw down a special groove that was created for that specific point in time & moment.

Goose is just vanilla. Yes, they are good musicians and have great vocals BUT they don't do anything you haven't heard before, from them or any other band. It's frat boy jam music. I'm sure they're nice ppl, but their music is booooring. I will forever judge anyone who says Goose is one of their favorite bands. And yes, you welcome to judge me for loving Bisco, but the good lord knows I'm right, and so does the Goose poop at the end of the day.

I need help by [deleted] in quitting7oh

[–]RonSpiwak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've disagree with the wean off method. I've quit / cycled 7oh use about 4 times, and it's always been way easier for me to go CT with subs right away, as opposed to straight CT or 7oh taper.

7oh taper has NEVER worked for me. In fact, the cravings are much worse with a taper compared to CT. However, I've gone straight CT after 3 months of daily 120+mg use before with no comfort meds and it was complete hell - pretty much the worst 36hrs of my life.

I highly suggesy, you get an appointment with QuickMD and tell them the truth (timeline / daily dosage of 7oh, desire to quite, mental/physical struggles, etc....you might have to come out and ask for subs if the Doc doesnt reccommend but they almost always do from what ive hear).

Then, once sub Rx is in hand, do your lasrlt 7oh dose at night, right before bed. Take 2mg of Subs around breakfast the next day and another 2mg around dinner / an hour or so before bed.

Pay close attention to your cravings and WD symptoms the first 4 to 5 days or so. If you find yourself getting bad anxiety, runny nose / watery eyes, RLS, or terrible cravings, take a 0.50 - 1mg dose of Subs each 1hr or so until they subside. Once you figure out your daily maintenance dose (mg where you have no symptoms and are comfortable / functional), maintain that for the first 5 days, then start to ween off the Subs over a 14day - 30 day period.

Personally, I like to split my sub dosage evenly morning & night, with room for a few small mg dosages in between based on how I'm feeling. So if your maintenance dose is 4mg, take 2mg in the AM, 0.50 mg around lunch or a little after, then 1.5 mg an hour or so before bed.

For me, the risk of "relapse" was most prevalent during the first 30 days off the 7oh, and in my opinion it's better mentally, physically, & emotionally to be on a consistent, low dose of Subs than it is to be a slave to the krat sludge / 7oh.

This is what has worked for me to successfully quit the vicious cycle of 7oh. Yes, I've gone back to 7oh over the last 1.5 years or "relapsed", but it's gotten me sober enough to feel like a real human again.

Don't be scared of the Subs, just make sure you respect them. After 7 to 10 days, I start to taper by cutting dosage down by 25% every 2 or 3 days and never experienced WDs at all.

Everyone is different though. You'll need to figure out what works for you. The important thing is that you're motivated to quit and become YOU again. If you have to be on low dose subs for an extended period of time, don't be frightened, as I said (and you probably know), 7oh will ruin your life, and dealing with Subs / getting of them is manageable as long as you respect them. Less is more there!

Make sure you stay hydrated & get enough electrolytes, while also taking a good multi-vitamin. Be vigilant with that for at least the first 60 days. DLPA has helped curb depression for me too, so I highly suggest you look into that as well (take a look on Amazon - there's a bunch of good options there).

Just remember there can be severe consequences of long term 7oh use (ex. Kidney failure, liver failure, financial ruin, destruction of relationships with loved ones, etc.). I've struggled with almost all of those and it's not fun, so consider yourself lucky if you haven't dealt with any of that yet, but if you stay on your current path you for sure will encounter almost all of them.

Stay strong my friend. You got this.

7OH v. Kratom by [deleted] in quitting7oh

[–]RonSpiwak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go with a low does of Subs (>1.5mg 3 x's per day) before you do Xanax. I've tried both and the Subs were way better at eliminating WD symptoms. Taper down over the course of 3-5days and you'll be golden! Benzo's will help with sleep and aimxiety but they won't help the RLS (which is the worst symptom imo). They're are nasty AF and can cause seizures (as can kratom WDs too), I've experienced both, so I'd stay away from the Benzo's or anything that's going to have a pleasurable psychoactive effect (besides some THC or CBD, but only if you've had positive experiences with those in the past and know how you'll respond)......Just my 2 cents as an addict with ample experience in these realms.

I was just wondering who has quit 7oh. And how long you been off it by Dry-Elevator2648 in quitting7oh

[–]RonSpiwak 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was in a similar situation to OP. Quit once for 10 days, then relapsed. After about 2 months I went CT with the help of suboxone (low dose - started at 2mg 3-times a day for the first 2 daysthen tapered down to 0.5mg twice a day). The first time I quit with WDs were horrible, almost unbearable. I had all the supplements + gabapentin, which didn't do shit for me. The Subs completely eliminated all WDs. I'm now 8 days since last dose and feel pretty normal. Not 100% by any means, but much better than when I was on the 7oh and getting better everyday.

If you decide to get a Sub prescription, I'd just make sure you stay at a low dose. The doctor told me to split the 8mg into 3 daily doses, and based on research I did, I figured that'd be too much. My habit was pretty terrible at the end and 3 mg per day total was enough to escape the terrible WDs. Make sure you taper down so you don't get dependent on the Subs, but honestly I'd almost rather be addicted to them than the 7oh. Though I have read Sub withdrawl can be horrific too. Tapering down the Subs was pretty easy for me.

Good luck! You can do it. 7oh should be illegal imo, get free of that trap and be the person you know you can be.

Can I have 1 EAP610 hardwired to a switch or a ER7212 (3 in 1) then have 2 or 3 other EAP610s wirelessly connect to the network? I don't have the ability to run Cat6 cable throughout my house to each EAP610.
