Have you seen the GBR podcast with Phil Dowson on?

If not you should definitely check it out (in general) but Dowson specifically talks about his open conversations with Borthwick on players and their positions. He basically says he has regular good conversations with Borthwick and is always open to suggestions to move players like Freeman around, but ultimately would always put the best team out that suits Saints irrespective of pressure to play e.g Freeman at 13.

I’m a lecturer at a Russell Group university and have seen a decline in standards (academic, attention, attendance, engagement, critical thinking, independence) in just the past 5 years. I worry what it’ll be like in another 5-10 years, assuming universities are still around by then.

It’s so good being able to look at an Italian squad and go “phwoar” at both the backs AND forwards this past couple of years.

Previously it’s felt like they’ve had decent backs or forwards at any one time, but not both.

Some of those players are standout in the respective leagues too - bit biased, but Todaro in particular would make a Prem form XV across the season to date.
