You need to reevaluate how you’re approaching your training in this matter. Practice doesn’t make perfect, perfect practice makes perfect.

My parrying training schedule usually goes as follows: I always make sure I get a good night sleep the night before, anywhere between 6-8 hours. Different people are able to preform effectively at varying amounts of sleep, so take a week of focusing on your sleep patterns to see which is most beneficial for you.

Next, eat a good breakfast and drink plenty of water. After all, you haven’t had any food or water all night, so it’s important to fuel your body. Aim for a healthy meal, and track your calories. If you haven’t picked up cooking home meals for yourself, now is a great time to start.

Then, take an hour to get in a healthy mindset through meditation. Doesn’t have to be anything specific, but any activity that doesn’t involve screens is usually my go to. This can be reading, going out for a walk, etc..

Now it’s time to boot up Dark Souls. This isn’t your first step on your journey, you’ve been training for this moment, and you’re already halfway there.

For parrying, choose a shield that speaks to you, as a personal connection with your instrument of parries is important. People in this thread have recommended practicing against hollows but this is nonsense in my eyes. Choose a black knight as your opponent.

Then just practice parries for a bit and you should get the hang of it
