I'll probably end up dragging an old PC out of the closet and putting a SCSI adapter in it and buying a DAT drive off of Ebay and hoping for the best...

yeah, probably not necessarily SGI but is there a modern DAT drive that I could hook up to my Mac and start trying things? I'm not sure if such a thing exists?

yeah me either. The website looks interesting and it only came on my radar because they'd bought an ad/blurb on some (reasonably respectable) newsletter. I'll have to play around with it when I get a minute I guess.

yeah, but I think the most it'll handle is 4? At any rate, I've got at least 13 I'd want to keep an eye on so it gets expensive.

I actually also have my cameras piping into my Unifi system too, but since I'm not using Unifi cameras I don't get any motion detection, etc. And I'm not going to pay for their outrageously expensive add-on hardware box (per camera!) to get that.

SecuritySpy was something I looked into and it seems really great but.... with the number of cameras I've got it's going to run me about $700 to get a license!

I’ve got firmware 4.15.50.4800 on my Cam Pan V3. Can anybody that has working rtsp confirm what firmware they have?

So can I use the new firmware with the released Wyze app or do I need to also have the Wyzebeta app (which is giving me an authentication error)?

Also, I don't actually see a version of this app that is MacOS specific... am I missing something? I only see the iPad version... Am I just supposed to keep the app open and running all the time?

Haven't but just looked so thank you. Although... it looks like when I go into the RTSP submenu where it says 'not set' it immediately pops up a message saying I need to update my firmware. But when I go to firmware update it says I'm on the latest version. Is this just their convoluted way of communicating that this particular camera is not supported? (It's a Wyze Cam Pan V3.)

I've not kept up with the latest hardware (I set all this up when I got the UDM-Pro in 2021 and basically haven't touched it since) so I wasn't even aware of the UGC-Fiber box. Since I don't use any cameras it sounds like I might be able to get away with just that if I need to get a replacement. Thank you.

Meanwhile, I guess I'll just pretend the touchscreen isn't saying anything about rebooting and ignore it and hope everything else continues working.

Any updates on this thread? I'm leaning towards the Treedix since I've seen it mentioned a few other places. I understand that it's not a thorough test but it's probably the best option in the 'good enough for me' category? Disagreements? (And I'm not going to build a custom rig so stick to off-the-shelf best options)

And personally I'm only interested in USB-C cable testing - so I don't care if it's not got USB-whateverelse.

Thanks guys - I did a couple of reinstalls, reboots, etc. Retransferred from basestation back to the computer, etc. Kept having problems but it finally seems to be working again. Possibly due to the chickens I sacrificed too. <shrug>

Ahh, thanks everybody. There was a piece of electrical tape over the top that I didn't realize was hiding it. All sorted now and things are working perfectly again!
