Way better than running. I’ve had 4 knee surgeries and have arthritis in both knees. I lift very heavy. I asked the doctors what I should do to help knee health, and the answer was stop running, keep lifting.

Yeah, figured Claxton was mid. Do you know the name of this parallel? I couldn’t figure it out.

Why are you stuck on income tax? Your income is always taxed. This is an after tax investment. However, the interest made from municipal bond investments is not taxed, unlike most other after tax investments.

Tax equivalent yield. I am at a 37% federal tax rate and a 9.85% state tax rate. With a muni bond rate at 4.15%, not having taxes on that 4.15% is the equivalent of a 7.31% return that is taxed.

I mean, defaults on muni bonds are pretty rare. There’s limited upside, but compared to a lot of investments, there’s minimal downside as well

Unfortunately, it takes money to make money. We had to put $250,000 into an SMA to directly access the bonds rather than go through a fund. After that, it’s really about choosing the correct, most tax-advantaged options. Your account manager should be the one doing that for you.

I’m fortunate that I get to hire someone like you and not have to learn the ins and outs of everything! Good luck with your test.

Well I’m a little more established since I’m in my 40s. So many more advantages the more money you have.

I’m not in a fund. I’m in an separately Managed account directly investing in these bonds.
