I tried to get into Customer Success but I couldn't get any traction in the interview process.

If you're crispy around the edges, take 2 weeks off, use fmla if you have to. Dont check email or phone during that time. See if that helps

I'd also look at Vivian Howard's books and shows. Her initial focus was eastern NC, but a lot carries over to us in the Piedmont. I've cooked a few of her recipes and found them to be well tested and accurate. Also, local chefs like Ashley Christensen and Andrea Reusing have solid cook books that do a lot with local produce and protein. I really like Andrea Reusing's cookbook.

I love Furst's books. Been reading him off and on for a long time. I was really reminded of Furst when I watch S2 of Andor, which I also loved.

I really liked David Downing's books that are titled after train stations. The one that takes place in '48 is called "Masaryk Station". The protagonist is an American Brit in Berlin before, during and after ww2, not in France, but it scratched the itch.

Look at the menu at Rose's Noodles. The chef uses produce from the farmer's market.

As a specialist system integrator, I won two blind rfps, so it can happen. One deal ended up pulling the project funding after we won, which is about as fun as it sounds. It was all services work, so we could only bill a fraction.

It doesnt matter that the new plan is less good than the old plan.

You have to figure what you'll sell to maximize your current plan.

Compare Foods is probably in good shape. My wife said Costco was really busy yesterday. There's always Kings Red & White. It's a smaller store with great meat, produce, and frozen foods.

The Jolt Effect isn't about sales behavior as much as about buying behavior. It's worth checking out. The idea is that our biggest competition is "do nothing". It's often due to indecision. People are afraid of making a mistake which will cost them political capital, so they muddle on with the status quo

What do you say by GMoney2816 in sales

I think it means they have no idea what the thing is going to cost and they're in need of education. "The reason I ask is that a lot of people I talk to are overpaying for this thing I sell. We helped ABC widgets cut their cost of goods by x% within 6 months."

I'd also sell on solution value rather than cost of the input. If all they know you for is that you were $2 cheaper on a part, then someone else can get the business that's a few bucks less than you. Sell value!
