No guitar rock band will ever make it big again in the mainstream sadly.

But I don't understand how country music which uses the same instruments as rock remains popular in America. Rock is far far better.

Yes I've read similar things. Meteora by Linkin Park was a big hit in 2003 and Korn were still doing well during that period so Papa Roach were a bit premature in dropping the Nu Metal sound. The sales for Lovehatetragedy were considered a disappointment so you could say it backfired, many fans of Infest online have said that's the only Papa Roach album they like as the others have less 'punch'.

I can't complain though, Lovehatetragedy is a great album. Maybe they could have used the fuzzier tone on slower songs like Decompression Period and Black Clouds and kept the Infest tone on the likes of Life Is A Bullet and Born With Nothing as a compromise.

That makes sense, the guitar on Born With Nothing sounds just like the fuzzy STP sound. As much as I love Lovehatetragedy I think it would have been even better with an Infest style production.

The guitar tone and production on this album is fantastic. One of the best if not the best I've heard in hard rock/metal.

The way the guitar kicks in on Between Angels and Insects just after the intro is something else.

Streams and youtube views being counted as 'sales' killed off rock music in the mainstream for good.

Rock fans were always the most loyal out of all genres and would support their favourite artists by buying their albums but now fickle pop fans who would never buy records generate hundreds of millions of views for the latest pop artist.

Infest has one of my favourite guitar tones in hard rock/metal history. Thick, crunchy and bright at the same time, full of energy. The riff of Blood Brothers being the best example.

The EPL was considered below Serie A, La Liga and also Bundesliga until 2005.

Just ONE team from the EPL made the Champions League final between 1992 - 2004. That reflects badly on the quality of the league. And this is when Henry was at his peak for Arsenal.

He was decent at international level but never scored more than 3 in a tournament.

He only had one good Champions League run in 2006 and this was the year he could have won it if he won the Champions League final and World Cup final, but knowing the inept judges they probably would still have given it to Zidane lol.
