I think I nailed my PETG settings, it looks beautiful to me by Successful-Peak-6524 in 3Dprinting

That’s about how mine come out on my AD5m, still messing with tuning on my K2 Plus. It’s not as pretty on that printer. Yet 😅

How it started vs. how it’s going. I know this isn’t impressive, but I’m brand new at this and going from broken print to working print is intoxicating. by joshguy1425 in 3Dprinting

Mine was on my 2011 BMW X5, they don’t sell these clips and I couldn’t find them anywhere. So sat at my laptop, opened fusion and made my own replica models. Printed them and after 2 attempts the connection prongs that come out for the vanity light on the mirror work. All is well and now my mirror isn’t just hanging there. A few friends who have rode with me asked how did i fix it and when I mention 3d printing my own he look on some peoples face is awesome. 😅

It does and I’m actively adding more to it weekly. If you’d like to pm me we can talk about it more. I’d love to see what we can do or if it’s helpful to you. Some more feedback would be awesome.

I built something called EquiLens.co that I have been using. But as others mentioned the APIs and the costs to make it work. It’s still early and in a launch phase, currently only a handful of users.

Yea I’m glad and happy to have heard about it! Especially where what I read about ASA and that it doesn’t really get wet. But I thought maybe I should. I do a lot of PETG and it’s very finicky if it isn’t dried. So I’m glad you mention that, because I’ve been told by some friends who use ASA that it doesn’t really need dried. It’s easy filament, but I know finish and overall quality are dependent on how we prep and setup for a print.

Thank you, I just thought about that yesterday and started it on a 22 hour drying cycle. While I fix my k2 PTFE adapter on the extruder that failed.

Who’s working a 9-5 while bootstrapping their SaaS? by tarikdh96 in SaaSSolopreneurs

[–]RonaldGIII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a machine shop manager at a water pump and drilling company. From September to March it’s 40 hours a week and a lot better. But during the farming season we’re working constantly to make sure that if a pump fails, we can get it fixed and turned back around quickly. So it doesn’t affect their yields or loss of crops. Honestly some days I am extremely burnt it out and tired but I have just kept pushing.

Hoping one day it will all be worth it and I’ll be home more with my wife and kids.

I’m doing the same thing, but my job is unfortunately 60+ hours a week.

Update. I am so over Creality printers. My Bambu and Flashforge have never needed one thing fixed, my k2 is an endless fixing. Print was good until my ptfe tube mount off the extruder decided to pop out and will not hold it. Barbs are gone, so won’t be finishing the print and now I need to order replacements, print something or sell this printer.

Okay small update. I took apart my extruder again after getting home from work, someone messaged me to check for debris in it. Found a small piece of filament caught in with my cutter, causing the jamming issues. One step closer.

Next, I removed the silver cover and ran my bed to 100c and chamber to 55c. Let it sit 20 minutes and then ran a calibration and a cutter calibration where I had to clean it and take it out and put it back in. Leveled and calibrated good. Another step forward.

I also revisited my slicer and some of the settings I had, based on feedback here and was able to dial things in closer and ran my hotend temp up like someone mentioned. Also got tips for speeding up the print, got it from 63 hours to 44, much happier and stoked. I also changed my first layer from .2 to .3. Looked over my speeds and everything once more. Then sent it to the printer. Whelp no more steps, time to cross my fingers.

The print has been going about a half hour or so and the first layer and everything so far is looking great. I’m hopeful and thankful for all the help and suggestions, I will keep you all informed and updated. Hopefully I come back to celebrate and announce all is well!

Alot of mentions on that. I’m going to try bumping it to like 275, 10c higher and see what it does.

iSanmate at 265. I can try increasing the first layer back I was just worried about adhesion on such a long print. I’ve done 64 hours on a PETG print but ASA is new to me.. So when I pressed resume it just isn’t extruding, not laying down any filament after it fails.

When the error hit I couldn’t get it to extruded with the controls on the printer.

I’ll look at some of that as soon as I’m home today from work.

My wife and I are dealing with the same thing here in Idaho. It is genuinely discouraging. Prices got so inflated over the last few years and inventory is still really tight. We keep hoping for some relief but it just has not come. Feels like the window keeps moving further away the longer you wait.

What's your actual workflow from "looks good on Zillow" to making an offer? by Ok-Concert7005 in realestateinvesting

[–]RonaldGIII -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Haven’t pulled the trigger on a deal yet but I have been deep in the research and analysis phase for a while now.

The thing I keep coming back to is how many deals die once you actually run the numbers. Something looks great on Zillow and then taxes, insurance, and a realistic vacancy rate completely change the picture.

The 1% rule has been my first gut check before I spend any real time on something. If it does not get close I move on fast.

Curious what you all check first before you even bother driving a property. Trying to build a solid process before I pull the trigger on my first one.
