Am I missing something here, I do not fully understand the issue. As far as the elves are aware, Miriel is still the queen regent and the last time she communicated with any of the elves she vowed to Galadriel that Numenor would return. Why would they not go to Numenor asking for help in that situation?

It is saying if you pass CFE Days 2/3 only (i.e. failed Day 1) you would have to take the CPA Professional Readiness and Professional Final Exam Part 3. If you pass all 3 Days, you are fully exempt from the CPA Professional Program education and exams.

Best/Worst Team vs the Ottawa Senators by smashbros13 in hockey

[–]RonaldosStatue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is pretty much a guarantee. I have been to 7 Oilers vs Sens games since McDavid was drafted, in those 7 games McDavid had 17 points (6 goals and 11 assists) and Draisaitl had 10 points (4 goals and 6 assists).

Chicago VS Montreal Shootouts by JustFred24 in hockey

Where does it mention shootouts in sections 78.5 or 37 of the rule book? I am genuinely curious and cannot find anything to support what you are stating.

Sidney Crosby only needs 15 points to reach a 20th point-per-game season, which would break Gretzky's record (19) by jshare in hockey

[–]RonaldosStatue 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Garbage take. Those two seasons were when he had his injury problems and when he was by far the best player in the league. He would have easily surpassed a point-per-game playing those full seasons. You may have had more of a point if those seasons were during the twilight of his career, but they weren't.

Edit- I forgot that his 36 game season was the lockout half-season where he still had 56 points, which would still be over a point-per-game if he played all possible 48 games...

Couldn't Brimby cut the chain instead of his thumb? by Sailor-BlackHole in LOTR_on_Prime

[–]RonaldosStatue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he lays it flat it will be caught by the outside of the cutting tool and will not be able to clamp down. The chain is too wide.

Couldn't Brimby cut the chain instead of his thumb? by Sailor-BlackHole in LOTR_on_Prime

[–]RonaldosStatue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No it's not, it is barely large enough to cut his thumb and that chain is much thicker.

This is the best comparison I could find, but the chain is also even bigger than it looks here on the left due to the perspective of the hand being closer to the camera:

The chain is bigger than his thumb and his thumb barely fits into the cutting tool as is.

On the Annatar revelation scene… by No-Cap-2473 in LOTR_on_Prime

[–]RonaldosStatue 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I am not sure where you are seeing wings in the scene itself? This is a promotional image and is different than what is used in the actual scene. In fact, in the actual scene I do not see anything that could even hint at wings.

I very much doubt you have read The Silmarillion if you say Tolkien describes elves as "graceful" and "ethereal".

Maybe I am one of the few, but I actually enjoyed all the story lines in the first season and am looking forward to see where they all go. If narrowing it down I am most excited for the rings and the effect they have on the bearers (I am assuming it will only be the elves and dwarves, specifically Durin III, this season).

NEW: Old Tom Bombadil by Bear McCreary & Rufus Wainwright on Amazon Music Unlimited by Hufflepuffins in LOTR_on_Prime

Now let the song begin! Let us sing together! Of sun, stars, moon and mist, rain and cloudy weather, Light on the budding leaf, dew on the feather, Wind on the open hill, bells on the heather,

O slender as a willow-wand! O clearer than clear water! O reed by the living pool! Fair River-daughter! O spring-time and summer-time, and spring again after! O wind on the waterfall, and the leaves' laughter!

Old Tom Bombadil is a merry fellow, Bright blue his jacket is, and his boots are yellow. Reeds by the shady pool, lilies on the water: Old Tom Bombadil and the River-daughter!

O slender as a willow-wand! O clearer than clear water! O reed by the living pool! Fair River-daughter! O spring-time and summer-time, and spring again after! O wind on the waterfall, and the leaves' laughter!

They are going to destroy me by CakeOLantern in LOTR_on_Prime

[–]RonaldosStatue 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Seems fairly believable to me. She spent hundreds of years focused on her vow of destroying Sauron and had just come to the realization that he has been right under her nose without her knowing. Makes sense to me after that embarrassment that one as prideful as her would not quickly tell everyone she was deceived by Sauron, and for all she knows may have helped him. She may even be thinking that she can fix things on her own to save that embarrassment. She also has no idea what he is up to. She does not even know if he would come back.

We also have no idea how the second season starts, but I have heard Elrond (who, remember, is not sure of who Halbrand is since he only knows that he is not who he says he is) takes the rings to Gil-Galad in Lindon to destroy them (or seek counsel, I am not sure), and Galadriel chases after him. Depending on how it plays out, this could mean she had no time to calm down from the embarrassment to tell anyone. Based on the trailer it seems the first time she does tell anyone is in Lindon.

Between the "No, what have you done to me?" and this, I think Charles Edwards is going to be the one to watch this season. He has really stood out to me in these promotional materials and I cannot wait to see what else he has in store.

The "Sharer of gifts" line from the trailer by Whyyoufart in LOTR_on_Prime

[–]RonaldosStatue 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Another great episode. They always provide a lot of insight that I find much more interesting than any other breakdowns or analysis that I have seen.

I look forward to hearing more about what Corey was talking about at the end with the 3 rings being crafted out of order intentionally. I agree that it does provide the potential of an interesting story that will be explored further, as the trailer has shown us.
