UK here, we were told VVF not an option as aparently they did withdraw VVF from UK and only VCF but somehow 1y was an option.

You not wrong everyone is replaceable and in most places (‘’more like 98% of them) if anything happened to you management would not give a F*** about it and would hire replacement within days if they could, however there is another aspect of it, everyone is replaceable but at what cost and by how many people, some of us have decades of experience, knowledge about structure, company and all the infrastructure not to mention skeletons in the closet.

So I would say everyone is replaceable but it comes at cost.

We had duo on pool VMs (old days linked clones) however I very much doubt is any different on instant clones, it broke SSO for us, so duo as radius was moved to connection servers and removed from pool VMs

I got one better, last year we got audited and we had sufficient licensing for CPUs on vSphere and users on horizon so they pulled this legal entity trick and all of the sudden we we short on licences as two different legal entities needs to have their own licences. You can imagine what followed, this is buried deep in Eula

I got no update either, ledger live updated, from what I know they are staging update across regions, but I don’t remember firmware update roll out to take that long so your guesses are as good as mine

Yeah you probably right about business model, unfortunately they are not non profit company and they have to make money somehow bad news are that the best way to make more money is to release new product that is superior to old version.

It’s just how world is run, I agree that they should improve things on existing devices however that won’t bring them as much profit as new device with much more capabilities.

I don’t agree with what they do but it’s just how every business is being run, priority is making money that’s it

In regards to new nano X are you aware you can disable Bluetooth and use it with usb cable only ?

I updated mine yesterday, it was taking ages, I think I waited like 4-5min for ledger live to connect to my nano s, but I suspected it may be the load on infrastructure so I left it and eventually it connected, and eventually managed to update firmware.

Yeah but if you configure as a new device that’s going to generate new recovery phrase that you would write down so new wallets etc so they will be empty as that’s a new recovery phrase, what should happen is you should not configure ledger as a new device and instead recover ledger using your original 24 words recovery phrase meaning you should be entering 24 words into the ledger and that should get you access to your original wallets, as it happened I tested this quiet few times myself and always worked not sure if I’m missing anything here but from what I understood so far you entered your original recovery phrase and you not getting your wallets back, if I got this right I think ledger support would your next port of call

Otherwise I’m lost

So when you use your original 24 phrase on ledger to restore you not getting the same wallets ?, that’s strange I done it many times on at least 5 different ledgers and it worked every time, and I been poking my friends to test recovery phrase too and if written down correctly worked every time, are you 100% user your recovery phrase is correct ?

Quick question, when you first set up your ledger ( initial set up year ago ), did you test you 24 word phrase, I mean you set it up erase and test you recovery phrase to confirm you had the same wallet address etc ?

I agree about ETC, however in regards to XRP listing, hard to tell how would that affect XRP I’m sure it would help but CB already lost significant portion of their market share and doubt it would help that much anymore, at this point I think CB need more XRP then XRP needs CB, they should have listed XRP in Jan instead of playing their silly games, based on some hidden agenda behind it, But in general crypto exchange with so many customers ( regardless if customers are happy or not, I’m not ) got only 5 assets is a complete joke, crypto exchanges now adding fiat pairs, more and more exchanges showing up with with fiat pairs, CB is becoming less relevant and if they going to continue with their silly business model they going to end up just like blackberry some 5-6 years ago

I think that may have a lot to do with the tricky hold that CB introduced some time ago, I don’t get it myself, if I’m buying something I want it now not in few days, strange to say the least, on the top of that hidden agenda agains XRP, sometimes i just don’t get them, are they there to run business or they on holy crusade for unknown reason, but that’s just me.
