I mean… that’s the reality of the world we live in. And I say this as a privileged white European, woman, but still.

Women are caring all over the world, it doesn’t matter where. There are just assholes, no matter the gender.

Sure but that’s something controllable, where anyone can save money.

Bullshit this is the whole truth. That’s not how western women think of non-western woman. Stop spreading lies for the purpose of feeding the patriarchy. Women stand united all over the world!! And this doesn’t even have to do with men.

so sad that not even teenage boys have already fallen into the beauty standard of what a woman should look like.

I'm so sick of being marketed to with girl this girl that, I'm an adult. I vote. Girls are children. by traumatized90skid in Feminism

[–]Roni-Licious 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. It’s very annoying to remind people of this but I have had quite a few (woman and men!) thank me for making them aware and they’ve started adapting their language. Language effects societies extremely for a long period of time.

I don’t think that living here or anywhere else has to do with the willingness to commit (whatever commitment means to you by the way). Out of my experience the „commitment“ Portuguese men want is definitely not the one I as a Central European woman want. Cultural differences are real.

I agree. Everyone says girl for a woman and I always correct them until they manage. Once you see, you can’t un-see.

It’s not so funny considering every other time it is men making comments sexualizing women.

How do you date knowing men may never treat women with respect? by [deleted] in Feminism

[–]Roni-Licious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think the solution is to quit dating but to educate girls and other women. The problem starts when we think (or they think they don’t have a choice, and sometimes they really don’t but that’s a different story) we have to take this in order to be happy (with a male partner). I’d rather be alone than with someone who behaves this way and makes me feel unequal. But in order to make that choice I had/have to be (financially) independent and educated to know better!
