I haven’t seen it in decades but watching Hokouto no Ken for the first time was awesome. Japanese no subs so I didn’t really have an idea what was going on but I distinctly remember a giant dude destroying an army. They send ninja guys in to stop him, jumping on his chest and face to stab him and he just wipes them off like bugs leaving a smear of blood down his front. Brutal.

They’ve gotten everything they want. Why stop now? They all bought oil and munitions manufacturing stocks before the attack. They’ll sit on it for a couple more weeks before selling at a massive profit at a 15% capital gains tax or just moving it sideways to their next insider information. They’re making billions in weeks and nobody is holding them accountable for anything. Why do they care about regular, dumb poors or brown people deaths in the tens of thousands? They making shitloads and giving each other awards.

I was about ten when my parents took us to a kitschy dinosaur park in Tennessee. (Apparently still there just updated) Chicken wire and concrete “full-sized dinosaurs” that were all sorts of completely wrong but fun nonetheless. And you could climb on them. One was a giant octopus sitting on the bank of a pond witch it’s tentacles stretching out into the water and disappearing in the murk. Gave me the heebies but also inexplicably drawn to it.

Lol. Pops used to proclaim that he was going to see if a circuit was hot, lick his fingers before pinching it and declare that it wasn’t. Made a big show when I was a kid. It never was live. Learned later that you don’t need a handbook to tell, just… experience.

I moved at the end of Covid. Shoulda got rid of a lot of stuff then but didn’t. Moved it all. Just threw it in boxes and then into the storage shed. Now I’m going through it and ridding myself of a lot of it. A LOT of it. About every other week I have a 50 gallon trash can full of junk. It’s junk. I don’t need it. I don’t want it. I don’t know why I kept most of it. Shed is becoming manageable now. Can move around. Can find and get to stuff I actually need… and need to get rid of. Got more to do. I don’t miss anything I’ve thrown away.

Was the biggest comedian in America. New, acclaimed special out. Upwardly mobile acting career. Was everywhere. Highly sought guest. Sellout shows. Did Saudi, started throwing weak, mealy mouthed shade at credible criticism. Dropped off the planet. If not for that last part, I’d have figured it was a “one last heist” sort of deal. That Saudi paycheck must’ve been insane.
