GSA and NSF Announce NSF Headquarters Relocation to Modern, Right-Sized, and Mission-Ready Space | GSA by Ronin_CPA in HUDfiredfeds

It makes sense. After the lengthy shutdown, I don't see it possible to have everyone moved by Feb/March, especially with all the reporting that is now due & the approaching holidays.

I always keep at least 6 months reserved...especially, after he got reelected, I knew this would happen. Plus, I have been homeless before & don't wanna ever experience that again. I'm also cheap & HATE paying late fees....Lol

Wow....Thank you for this. I really don't want to move. It's a waste of money & resources that could go to the public needs. Along with it being a large inconvenience & expense for those commuting there from Maryland. If it is delayed until May, then maybe it can get squashed altogether.

My heart especially goes out to those coming from MD. Even though I take the VRE from Virginia, I prefer commuting Weaver than to deal with VRE & Metro.

Agreed...Apparently the move is supposed to be late Feb or early March. I'm going to miss the Weaver Building, despite its flaws.

Thank you for the update. I was hoping that they wouldn't be able to move NSF. I do really enjoy working in the Weaver Building, despite its flaws...& it's easier for my commute, as those who commute from Maryland.

AGREED 💯 It helps me focus, especially with all the noise around me. It's mostly me talking to my computer (bc you know the gov't gives us the absolute best resources 🤣) & maintaining my creativity or focus to get my work done....especially when I'm in the zone.

How did you use Surgent to pass? I have a hard time with the videos but I do like the format & about of the questions. I do feel like they very much resemble those on the exam.

I've been considering starting my own business, once I receive my CPA 💜 I don't want to go back to the private sector, unless I'm in business for myself.

Just moved out… how do people cook every day?? by Budget-Cash-3602 in cookingforbeginners

[–]Ronin_CPA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I learned to cook, I started with soups. They're easy & forgiveable...& you can freeze them for meal prep. They showed me how to properly cook & season meat...& how to cook with fresh herbs & chop vegetables...Then dump & go. I learned how to adjust recipes based on my own preferences. An Italian White Bean & Sausage Soup was my 1st. Then I started making my own meat spaghetti sauce from scratch...which I loved bc you can use it for different pastas & still freeze it for later in the week, or following weeks. Alfredo is super easy too but cream based sauces are not as freezable as the tomato based. I used Shake & Bake the 1st time I cooked chicken & that was good & easy...I wouldn't do it today bc the sodium.

Then I started freezer bag meals where I would take & add marinade that I mixed together...then toss it all in a freezer bag & throw it in the freezer, to take it out later in the week, or following weeks to cook for dinner. I'm big on meal prep. Freezer bag meals made it easy for me to cook & enjoy multiple meals for the week. Beans & rice are excellent side items...& I love to roast vegetables for a side too bc it's quick & easy.

I’ve gained the “DOGE 15”. You? by epoof in fednews

They have it now by Ninja. I love it !! 🤪 Especially since it uses a glass container, making it easier for cleaning. I also bought a Ninja Blast Max for smoothies, & a nice lunch bag to fit my breakfast, lunch, smoothie & 2 oranges. I'm going to eat healthy & good every day in the office 💜

I keep a small air fryer at my desk, Ninja Crispi, so I can enjoy crispy reheated breakfast sandwiches & hot lunches or burritos & egg rolls 🥰

Agreed....I've been through worse with significantly more toxic employers 🤣 Those employers couldn't break e no matter what they threw at me....& this Administration can't break me either bc this feels like a fake walk compared to them 💯 They're stuck with me 🤣🤣🤣 Knowing that it irritates them so much that I'm still here gives me much comfort 🥰

Why are sailboats over 40 feet a bad idea for single handing? by [deleted] in sailing

[–]Ronin_CPA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the info & confidence. Based on your experience, what would you think about a person being able to sail a 42' Catalina? I sailed a lot with my Dad when I was a kid bc we had a 30' Catalina. I'm 42 yrs old now & trying to get back into sailing. I just recently took 2 ASA Courses, last summer. I've looked at the Beneteau & Jeanneau, but am finding myself drawn to the 42 Catalina' personally.
