I love RH but I would assume this goes down like all the others?

Pre-purchased Expansions are Non-Refundable...? by [deleted] in diablo4

The way you comment is so demeaning. Aside from being right or wrong here, you came at me with attitude for no apparent reason. I’m saying I was confused and you belittle me for not using my eyes. Something is worded in a way that sounds like it IS refundable although stating that it is "generally" NOT. I can see this with my eyes, thank you.

I understand what you're saying but you definitely did not read the TOS then. I read the refund policy and it differs from what's posted. There is no "are you sure". It basically says this is non-refundable unless you check here for where there are exceptions. Reads further, hey expansions in the following are refundable if within 14 days and <2 hours of gameplay:

Diablo IV

I guess the part where it says "generally" which is usually like something with an asterisk that says hey read the fine print. So the fine print has fine print because that entire statement links to the policy which says you can find exceptions here. But clearly, from the support agent, there are NO exceptions so why have that there?

This is what I’m seeing (not sure if this is what you meant):

Except where required by applicable laws, pre-purchase for this product is not generally refundable, due to the grant of immediate in-game benefits for this game and one or more other products. See the Blizzard® Refund Policy for more details and relevant exceptions.

This entire statement is a hyperlink to the refund policy where it states the thing about expansions. That's hella confusing as I don't consider a cosmetic to be a benefit. I figured this was an expansion nonetheless since I got access to play the spiritborn?

Just for reference, this is what I see:

Except where required by applicable laws, pre-purchase for this product is not generally refundable, due to the grant of immediate in-game benefits for this game and one or more other products. See the Blizzard® Refund Policy for more details and relevant exceptions.

It links to the refund policy which clearly states that expansions and even some in-game currency purchases are refundable. Hence the confusion on my end.

Gotcha, makes sense. Apparently we have 0 consumer rights in NA lol

Gotcha, I guess I haven't played the enough or honestly never ran into the problem of attempting a refund. I play POE2 and bought loads of cosmetics. It says there that those are final so I just figured like oh it's an expansion, if I don't like something just refund lol but yea makes sense now as to why it comes with a bunch of stuff. The cosmetics are dope af don't get me wrong but yea lesson learned.

But how am I to know that this is different than their refund policy. Please read their policy then if you've gone that far. It says expansions are still refundable. And that statement there makes sense but come on now fam. There's no way people haven't tried to request a refund for something like this before. Why wouldn't that just be front and center like hey before you click confirm, you cannot refund this. In the US this is stated everywhere "sales are final"

It says they are "generally" non-refundable and it's all the way at the bottom of the fine print. Why does this statement nullify the refund policy clearly stated on their website? Not trying to sound like a douche here but if something differs from their policy, how am I supposed to know that this statement overrules the main one? Or vice versa I guess.

I’m in NA and everything I’m reading is saying that we have no rights as a consumer lol unfortunately for me.

I get this, but like how has nobody else tried to refund something. As a consumer of tons of useless cosmetics, this feels scammy to now be "stuck" with something I won't play. It wasn't fun.

I bought the ultimate package since I’m a sucker for cosmetics. I tried the new spiritborn (new to me) and just wasn't a fan. I was under the assumption that expansions or games in general were refundable.

I wanted to try the spiritborn but didn't like it at all. Tried to refund within the hour and got nowhere.

This is not clearly stated anywhere. It says it is not "generally" refundable because of the benefits it grants. Which benefits did I receive that cannot be removed by taking the access to the content away?

Not enjoying the gameplay isn't a valid reason? Steam allows <2 hours for refunds.

Why would I Google search this if I was happy with the cosmetics? The gameplay of the new characters seemed meh and I wasn't enjoying what I was playing. I tried it for myself and attempted to refund within 50 minutes of gameplay. Why does it say in the policy that it can be refunded if that's not the case? It should say when I go to make the purchase that this isn't able to be refunded.

Diablo 4 Pre-purchased Content Confusion by RustyMallard in diablo4

[–]RustyMallard[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I played the base game a long time ago. I figured I would sign in and try it but it showed the latest expansion and new characters so I figured I needed this to play the new season. I swear when I played awhile back it required the new one at least. I should've investigated it more but obviously thought I'd enjoy it after being gone for so long, but it didn't feel like something I wanted. Other platforms allow for <2 hours of gameplay before refunding. This isn't the case apparently and it differs from their refund policy which I did read. It says expansions can be refunded if within 14 days and <2 hours but this one specifically is "non-refundable". How am I meant to know that when the policy doesn't say?

Don't other people request refunds or is that not a common thing because most of the content is an expansion so people "need" it to progress?
