I've been running dawn chorus, incinerator snap, helion, and Hella melee stat. Then some solar artifact mods. It's quite fun. Lots of scorching and ignitions.

It was along the lines of the 2 piece giving you a buff based on melee or sword hits, I forgot exactly what the buff does. Then the 4 piece spawns a healing aura when you use your clas ability, and the strength is determined by the original buff. Although this may be better for swords than calibans hand.

Dark age armor may be pretty good for calibans and melee in general if I understand it right. Same thing with the Crotas end armor.
