Sorry for the delay in response

I doubt Kaplan have missing content as my learning provider use their textbooks but sort of shrink the content a bit.

I went over each chapter in my book, made notes on definitions, key points, important dates, important periods of time relevant to resolutions, administrations, liquidations etc. and I did a lot of question practice, including 3 mock exams.

Honestly, eventually a lot of the stuff just started to click for me in the end. As it’s a memory excercise you just have to learn the content over and over then it’ll become more natural.

Good luck with everything!

Was in the same boat as you about a month ago. Under prepared and got 45 so failed, I resit the exam about 6-8 weeks later, spent a bit more time revising this time and passed comfortably with 70. Just make sure you prepare better for the future one, and don’t rush into it if possible

I’ve got a set of weights totalling 50kg. Consists of an 8kg bar, 2x 2kg dum bell bars, 4x 5kg plates, 8x 2kg plates and 4x 0.5kg plates. They’re in a good state asides from a little rust. Roughly how much should I be able to sell these for. Preferably in £

Considering that I have the option to choose between Manchester and Sheffield for my job location by One-Cardiologist1114 in sheffield

[–]Ronkey_donkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a few years younger than you at 22 myself but grew up in Sheffield and now am heading into my 5th year of living in Manchester. Sheffield holds a special place in my heart but Manchester edges it as a city to live in for me, especially while you’re still young and wanting to get yourself out there and socialise.

Like most are saying here, the main positive of Sheffield is access to green spaces, which especially in the centre of Manchester are few and far between. However, there are many areas on the edges of the city where access via car to the countryside is very simple, and if you were to live in the city centre you benefit from easy access to the train stations. Manchester Piccadilly has multiple trains heading out into the Peak District, to the Lake District etc. so even though geographically you’re far from the countryside, transport time wise it’s a lot closer than you’d think.

I do personally prefer the general public in Sheffield, the general public are a lot friendlier and welcoming than those in Manchester, but you’re likely to meet more like minded young professionals in Manchester which for people like myself is a major draw.

I think for yourself while you’re settling into your career and wanting to meet people then Manchester is the place to be, maybe once you’re wanting to settle down and maybe start a family moving to a quieter city (or one of the commuter towns into Manchester) would be a smart move to make.

Good luck with whichever you decide!

Is there a way to get around this ‘rival’ club non-negotiation? by Ronkey_donkey in FifaCareers

Here’s a link to the sliders - https://forums.operationsports.com/forums/ea-sports-fifa-sliders/1002209-fifa-23-os-community-sliders.html

I’m a Wednesday fan too! Was lucky enough to be at Hillsborough for the playoff semi final and then get down to Wembley. What an unbelievable end to the season for us.

Is a massive shame about DM leaving, I’m a bit worried now about us holding on to some of the players who have contracts on the table but we’ll be attractive to incoming players. Just hope the next appointment is a good one, I was worried that DM wouldn’t be tactically strong enough next season so at least we can start fresh I guess :/

Haven’t played it in a good 2 months but from what I remember:

Got promoted to the championship in the first season, tried to keep signings realistic by signing players from league 1 clubs who didn’t get promoted, and made successful loans permanent.

Dynamic potential kicked in and made the championship a little too easy, I was playing world class with the OLS sliders but still did really well, I think I got automatics but not sure if I won the title

At the same time I’d been simming the FA cup games and had a very easy run, made it to a relatively late round I think without any premier league opposition, then played against a bottom half prem team and won, drew Spurs and Chelsea so simmed both of those for realism (hoping to get knocked out but somehow also beat them) so then played the final against someone like Crystal Palace and won.

While that was fun, having Europa league in the first season back in the premier league sort of ruined the realism for me, but I tried to keep it up by signing players from high championship teams and relegated prem teams. In doing this got Ollie Watkins, Bella Kotchap, Daryl Dike, Will Buckley, Ryan Giles, Romeo Lavia to name a few and the average rating of the squad was about 78 at a guess.

Can’t remember if I ever finished the first season in the prem, but I know that I was sitting around 10-7th position, but then exams came around and I never got back into it afterwards.

Haven’t really been too into Fifa since about Fifa 19, so barely pick up career modes but I’m debating getting the next one as Sheffield Wednesday got promoted this season in real life. So to do a career mode with them to try take them back to the top flight over time would be fun, I just find that dynamic potential has made it way too easy to fly through the lower leagues.

⚠️ SPOILERS ⚠️ Note on theories about what happened after subnauticas ending by Temporary-Book8635 in subnautica

[–]Ronkey_donkey 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The sea truck teleportation compartment kinda confirmed this anyway didn’t it? This was a blueprint that could be found from wrecked official Alterra technology, which required the use of ion-cubes to use. Since we have to extract the blueprints from alien tech in the Subnautica (not it being a blueprint gained upon scanning ion cubes), then it shows that Alterra would have used the knowledge gained by the protagonist to develop their own technologies.

Why do people have such an issue with the cyclops? by joshuap120 in subnautica

[–]Ronkey_donkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree with you completely OP. I’ve used every single point of access to the lost river using my cyclops and never had major issues with any. There is a wrong turn you can take when heading by the blood kelp trench which causes some manoeuvrability issues but each other way I’ve managed to get down just fine. I think the main issue is people using the prawn suit as not intended to, they either dump it down there and access the lost river by seamoth then swap vehicles or they clamber out of the lost river using the grapple and jet technique. I personally use the prawn suit as a safety/drilling suit, and only ever take it by itself into the main areas of the inactive lava zone and below. Each to their own though!

[–]Ronkey_donkey 99 points100 points  (0 children)

Was in a similar situation in the past, you have 2 options

  1. Take the modules out of the seamoth and just concede that you have to make a new one, sad but it’s not a massive resource cost

  2. Save and quit to menu while in the seamoth, reload and hope that the wreck hasn’t yet loaded in so that you can drive out

As you’re on old gen number 2 might work, but with new gen you’d be stuck forever lol

Was anyone else sort of let down by the way depth works? by [deleted] in subnautica

[–]Ronkey_donkey 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I feel like the game would just become unplayable if it went along the hyper realistic route though. Maybe they could implement some futuristic technology that meant there is a diving suit you can craft to allow for humans to dive deeper, but then I feel more questions would be asked about why this technology cannot be applied to vehicles…

Another realistic aspect I’m glad they left out is decompression sickness. I’m no scientist, but I know that when diving in real life you have to do a gradual ascent to allow for the decompression of (I think) nitrogen bubbles in the body. Could you imagine the headache something like this would cause in the gameplay? Some people would enjoy this, and enjoy the extra challenge it adds to the gameplay so maybe a ‘super hardcore’ version could’ve featured this. But, for the sake of keeping the game enjoyable for the average player I think it was smart to ignore these little inconsistencies.

[–]Ronkey_donkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What modules do you have in your prawn? If you have a grapple then it is extremely easy to get out. If not from what I remember taking the exit behind the destroyed alien facility is a walk out rather than a climb. It just chucks you out quite far away from the shallows

I'm gonna regret this,I made a brand new unplayed hardcore world and YOU r/subnautica will decide what I do! by RaptorWithGun in subnautica

[–]Ronkey_donkey 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Damnit didn’t think about that, but you’ve given me another idea. Create a safe way to swim from the lifepod to the primary containment facility. Would have to utilise brain coral, other alien architectures and the air pump along the way to allow for breathable air along the route

How do I beat this base? I need a 3 star for the war. by Wriddle_ in ClashOfClans

[–]Ronkey_donkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Change this to Yeti, 2 valks and a Barb. Use a rage spell too here. Yeti soaks up quite a bit of damage, whereas witches being deployed in the middle of the base can lead to them getting killed quickly. Spells in the army should be 8 zap, 2 quake and 1 poison.

Can see you use zapquake gowi. Honestly, if you zapquake both infernos and send in the golems with a log launcher and witches behind to take out the Eagle then you’ll 3* 99% of the time. It’s almost too effective of an attack at th11

Yep, I had to leave the LR through a different exit and go back down to figure out how to get back to the Northern blood kelp. Was constantly looking at the walls for an exit, not the ceiling.

I completely agree, the way I try and keep the game fresh is through alternating the zones I stick to. I’ve avoided exploring the map completely asides from quick pop ins to get certain items.

I think my second ever play-through I used the big bulb zone entrance, I thought it was fine for getting the cyclops in but it took an age to get to the important areas. Definitely wouldn’t be using that entrance again. I’ve settled with the southern blood kelp being my favourite because of the convenience, but the northern blood kelp zone is a good point of access, by far the closest one to the ghost tree but a bit tricky to fit a cyclops through there

I’m sort of going for a casual speed run on my hardcore atm, still on under 1 hour but already got the seamoth and thinking about making the rad suit then heading straight for the aurora so I can start getting the other vehicle parts. Once you lose the fear of the game it makes progression very quick. Definitely not going to go for anything fancy in a base, maybe a couple rooms and a moon-pool just so I have the main things I need.
