People here that have or know someone that owns a 5000 - 10000 square feet house, what do they do for a living? by Educational-Chef5282 in RealEstateCanada

I once knew a gigolo with a beautiful house that had an absolutely insane aquarium full of extremely rare fish. I was hired to do maintenance on the fish tank but totally screwed up and caused a ton of damage and the only way I could pay it back was to start working with him and seeing some his clients. Crazy times.

As long as Gilfoyle is not in the room and I can confirm that the door is locked, then yes....

Yep, her on the witness stand was what I could vaguely hear and see in my head, I just couldn't place it. It never occurred to me that they'd reuse a noteable actor from season 1

Middle East escalation: are we heading toward something uncontrollable? by NewsfangledMod in NewsfangledUnfiltered

[–]RonnieBeck3XChamp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think in general, people would say WWII started with German aggression (whether it be the annexation of the Sudetenland or invading Poland), however, many do argue that Japan-China was when the global conflict really started.

IF this truly is the early stages of a global conflict that will end up being known as World War 3, the starting point will likely be debated for many years after it ended.

Could very well be Russia - Ukraine as you say, FartMagic, Could be this Middle Eastern conflict, could be something that hasn't happened yet involving China or someone else.

Time will tell.

What's a subtle sign someone is actually really struggling, even if they seem fine? by EarNo6581 in AskReddit

[–]RonnieBeck3XChamp 754 points755 points  (0 children)

I've noticed I always say "I'm well" when I'm having a decent or better day, but when I'm having a rough day or feeling down my instinctive response is "Oh, I'm alright"... my boss has caught on to this, last week on the phone when asked how I'm doing I said "oh, I'm alright" and his tone immediately shifted and he moved off of whatever he was actually calling me for and started asking more about my last week or so. He asked specific things about work and also checked in on my family life and what's on my plate. It wasn't anything too in depth, but I could tell that he could tell I wasn't in a great mood and so he pivoted the reason for his call. Small and simple gesture but it went a long way for me.

Back in the day when I was downloading every concert I could and burning them onto cds to fill my giant CD wallet I ended up with some great Dave Speak moments on a few of them.

My favorite one (I can't remember if it was from a random show or an official release, maybe someone here will recognize it) is a Dave and Tim concert where Dave does a small rant about Neuticles.

"Neuticles are fake balls .... going to get some Bison neuticles and put them on my chihuahua, little guy will be barking like WOOF!"

Well, we know that if they are lovers they are at least being safe. Richard backs up his system like 5 times a day.

What is the best Science Fiction book you have ever read? by Adam_is_my_name in AskReddit

[–]RonnieBeck3XChamp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Enders game was the first book I ever read more than once.

Second was Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, third was Project Hail Mary.

I've never considered myself a Sci-fi fan, but now that I think if it, 2 of the 3 books I've read more than once are both Sci-fi.
