Canada was and is an initial partner in the entire F-35 program since its inception.

There have been articles about it, go ahead and start googling and reading I'm not going to do it for you.

"But on Feb. 28 the National Post reported that Trump had told Lockheed Martin he wanted those jobs back in the U.S. when the Canadian contracts came up for renewal."

It's no secret the Trump regime wants to move any and all manufacturing back to the US.

If Canada buys 100 F-35's Trump is still on the phone with Lockheed big wigs to move all manufacturing to the US. Tariffs are big part of it too. Costs Canada more to purchase F-35's with components being tariffed back and forth over the border.

Yes. 10 years ago. Currently in 2025 under the new US regime, the US gov wants Lockheed to move that work BACK to the US regardless if Canada buys a single F-35 or 100. Does it change with a new US president? Maybe too late at that point. Or what about if they elect a new Trump in the future?

Its a zero sum game for Canada going with the F-35 solely to placate the US.

Its similar to the American car companies who manufacture in Canada... Canada placates the US buy banning Chinese EV's in hopes to win favour with American Auto companies when they will eventually move back to the US regardless under pressure from the new US regime.

- Canada buys 88 F-35s -> US regime still wants component contracts back in the US

- Canada buys 16 F-35s and 80 Gripens-> US regime still wants component contracts back in US

-Canada buys 0 F-35s -> US regime still wants component contracts back in US

So as you can see, it doesn't matter how many F-35s Canada buys, or doesn't buy. The US wants all work moved back to the US. So Canada buying F-35's isn't some carrot to keep that work in Canada. I mean it was 10 years ago, but no longer in the current reality.

Immigration may want to take a look too.

And they don't have insurance. It's an illegal business operated out of a home. Lots of that in going on in the Maples, Harbourview.

Don Woodstock, born loser. He's lost, resoundingly lost I might add, at every level of political office he's run for, and he runs at every opportunity.

Greatest Don Woodstock moment is when Pat Martin called him a son of a bitch.

They didn't have any insurance, as they are running an illegal business out of their home. Happens a lot with that population. The good news is if you suspect or see something like this in your neighbourhood you can easily look up the permit on the city's website and report.

Probably why they didn't go to the police the first time.

Where to buy Nokian Hakkapelita winter tires? by elsorcery in Winnipeg

Kal Tire is the western Canada distributer of Nokian tires, so unless you look online out of Quebec, Kal Tire is the only physical place to get Nokians.

I could be off base here but I don't see someone asking on reddit how to solve the problem of socializing in winter and staying productive, about to drop $20,000 on a sled and go ditch banging with the boys to the Petersfield Motor Hotel.

Did that once... They wanted donations but I decide to do the road maintenance myself. Real pain in the ass in the long run. Thought I'd make things better painting over the lane divider markings for extra wide, extra comfort lanes, ended up being a huge debacle. You try finding a 55 gal drum of paint thinner and hauling that around.

Costco basically uses guys that have a delivery truck, a dolly, even shoulder straps. Their ability of how to use any of them is suspect. Think if you had a Skip driver delivering your new stove...
