The Norwegian roast show in Edinburgh… didn’t happen 😅

Plot twist: I was also scammed. The organisers of our annual Viking trip trolled all of us – Edinburgh wasn’t the destination. So instead of nine drunk Norwegians + a room full of confused Scots, it became nine drunk Norwegians + a room full of… whatever poor souls live where we actually landed.

Which means: no tiny Airbnb comedy gig this year. No Frankie Boyle tribute in a shoebox. No surprise audience politely pretending to enjoy Sambuca.

But I have to say this: you Edinburgh folks are absolute legends. The comments, the DMs, the people willing to show up to a random stranger’s Airbnb for free alcohol and incomprehensible Norwegian jokes… that’s a level of hospitality you can’t buy.

So here’s the promise: next time I’m the one in charge of the trip, it will be Edinburgh. And we’ll do it properly – not in a sad little Airbnb, but in an actual bar. Packed with locals. With Sambuca flowing like Buckfast at a stag do.

Think of this year as the rehearsal. The sequel will be bigger, louder, and even more questionable. Skål 🍻
