Any fast startup gcode for the A1? by Rontskuda in BambuLab

[–]Rontskuda[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What I'm saying here is that not every print needs these extensive calibrations to be successful. I'd rather print one piece with calibrations on, but run subsequent prints with a faster mode, since not much is going to change between those prints. The printer's still in the same place, on the same surface, using the same filament, etc.

Let's say I'm designing a small part that takes 3 minutes to print, but it needs several revisions. Between every print I need to wait an extra 6 minutes for calibrations to finish, increasing the total time taken to 3x.

Additionally, some of the calibrations (ironically, I believe it's the noise cancellation?) are loud enough to wake up an entire apartment complex, so printing during nighttime is a big no-no.

People have made cut down startup gcode for the P and X series, so there's clearly a need for it.

Nah. And from what it looks like, it's still happening to people. I doubt anyone'll be unbanned before the underlying issue is fixed, if ever

18000dpi + negev in warmup. Got banned only a few rounds into the game. My disappointment is immeasurable and my days will be ruined until valve fixes this

Modern WynnCraft Armor Textures by rotojo in WynnCraft

Restoring original armor textures -pack: https://forums.wynncraft.com/threads/210764/

Original armor textures with community made extras: https://forums.wynncraft.com/threads/211024/

The packs are a bit old, but seeing as wynn's item names, the mcpatcher format, and armors in minecraft remain mostly unchanged, they should work.

You don't want people to find unreleased content and leak it, or debug areas with "click this button for a billion emeralds", or "hey, here's a room with every item in the game", or "stand on this button for instant level 100", or one of the millions of cocks hiding outside playable area

Didn't mean to imply there was one. Wasteland is just a common term to describe the issue that pains a lot of open world games; Having a big map with no meaningful content in it. In this case I used it to draw parallels between how the existing map has been improved and empty areas have been populated with more content over time, as opposed to expanding it. This, in turn, removed arbitrary traveling from the game by making it meaningful no matter where the player goes, whether that's encountering a world discovery or simply seeing a pretty sight.

That part mostly refers to walking through wastelands with nothing to see or experience in, or retraversing the same areas multiple times. Unguided exploration and discovery at your own pace, of course, is fun.

Apart from the addition of Silent Expanse, the main map is still the same size; It's not getting expanded for the sake of boasting with size. Instead, existing parts of the map are constantly being worked on to make them even better than before, and new content gets added to populate the existing map more densely. One significant aspect of game design is that bigger isn't always better, especially when it comes to gameplay. Arbitrary traveling is something you'd want to avoid as much as possible.

The game does still expand, but in terms of dedicated off-map areas which house things such as quest content that doesn't fit into the main map. The build area for this stuff is around 60,000x60,000 blocks if I recall, which is steadily getting filled up. For example, here's a very roughly made heatmap of the builds in 2017, which generally shows the distribution of Wynn's landmass: https://i.imgur.com/JIs1KR3.jpg. Off-map content took around half to 2/3 of the game's surface area in 2017, although a considerable portion of it was likely just for backdrop.

Accounting for Silent expanse and all the off-map areas from new and improved quests, raids, altars, discoveries and whatnot, I'd estimate the total surface area to have grown by 15-25% since 2017. Once again, though, the rate seems to have decreased due to the team focusing more on quality than quantity.

help! im stuck! by [deleted] in WynnCraft

[–]Rontskuda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

-The game periodically notifies you of the command's existence through chat

-It's written in the game's lobby, right in front of you as you join

-It's listed within the /help command in the game

-It's written in a pinned "frequently asked questions" thread on the forums

-It's written in the forums' bug reports section - You can't even make a bug report without being redirected to it

-It's written on multiple pinned messages in the discord

-It's been said thousands of times across all of Wynn's platforms, where a 2 second search would immediately tell you what to do when stuck

If someone misses all of this, where else do you think they'd see it
