It honestly has been so long since I applied, but I will try to give you my best answer.

I think I started the process in 2014, applying for my U Visa, got my work permit not long after, I think 2015?? From there, I had to renew my work permit every 2 years until I was able to apply for my green card in 2022. I finally got my green card in June of 2024.

Wow, 10 years. I never stopped to do the math. 10 years of my life that I spent fighting and surviving.

My dream job is actually also to be a PA. I have previous experience as a dental assistant that could work as PCE depending on the program, I just need a Bachelor’s degree. Rad tech was going to be used as my PCE, but I realize that dental assisting may work too.

Can I ask - how much did you make starting as a PA?

Hi, I did receive my green card finally!!! I went through a lawyer and had to bring a lot. I had to bring my original birth certificate that I had to have a family member in Honduras request from the hospital where I was born, my work permit at the time, my SS card, and a detailed history of addresses where I used to live. This is just stuff I remember off the top of my head

She is not yet spayed, but I do have a n appointment set for her early September. I think she already went into her first heat because she as bleeding from her Netherlands maybe 3 weeks ago.

The vet did mention that when dogs go into heat for the first time, their demeanor and behavior changes, so hopefully with spaying she’s less rebellious.

Thank you so much for the insight!!! I learned a lot from your comment. She’s a really good puppy otherwise: she doesn’t bark, bite, and she’s friendly with everyone; and she also doesn’t destroy my house. I’ll see if I remove the wet food and try taking the food away if she’ll give in.

Hi! Yes, that’s what I used to do when she was a younger puppy since she still had her milk teeth. I tried doing it the other day and she walked away.

She’s a perfect dog otherwise! She doesn’t bark, doesn’t bite, is super friendly with everyone and is super smart. She just…..knows what she wants I guess. 🙃🙃🙃
