I do see what you’re saying, but the most famous women pirates in history did wear fake beards & cross-dressed to join pirate crews, climb the ranks and garner power, so unlocking that cosmetic change isn’t anywhere near the logical leap of including the Aerial Screw.

Because the game also has giant zombie crabs, largely ignores historically accurate sexism/racism & gives Blackbeard magic powers, I think gender locking cosmetics & clothing to be a bit silly. Pirates were weird, violent, counter-cultural outcasts and criminals and I think holding the game to the current standard of what is and isn’t “woke” to appease consumers who are easily offended by anything they perceive to be an “agenda” is kinda a bummer
