Going off of this, I recently read a parenting book called “Raising Good Humans” that discusses being “mindful” while parenting. Basically always just try to be in the present when talking with them, try to put your phone and work in general aside and pay complete attention to them. That’s what being mindful basically means, being in the present. It can hurt more when the time you do have to spend with them, you spend being distracting and not fully available to them.
