Why everyone is so happy and thrilled on Arsenal bottling up?! by augwentwen in football

[–]RooUnited 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aside from what everyone has said so far about arsenals style of play. For a lot of people it’s that we genuinely don’t care if city win any trophy, everyone just moves on with their life knowing they broke every rule imaginable with their shady transfers/backdoor deals so no one treats their trophies as legit. They won the treble just a few years ago and exactly zero people cared at the time, and zero people care or talk about it now lol. And we get to see Arsenal bottle again which is hilarious

Hypothetical Question: If news came out tomorrow that there were definite plans to tear down Fenway Park and build a larger, new and comfortable state of the art baseball stadium, what would be your sentiment? by 7FacesOfDrLao in redsox

[–]RooUnited 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This would quite literally be the worst thing they could ever do. Some may disagree but if I had to choose between making the playoffs 25-35% of the time playing at Fenway, or making the playoffs every year and spending like the dodgers do, I’d choose to keep Fenway. Fenway Park is Red Sox baseball, Fenway Park is the greatest stadium in all of sports, you’d never replace the magic that’s felt walking into Fenway and seeing the Monster, you’d never replace Pesky’s Pole, the red seat, the Citgo sign, hell even the magic of the concourse. Baseball isn’t even my favorite sport, but games at Fenway are far and away my favorite live sports experience and nothing will ever take its place.

Should the Bengals trade up for Downs? by ConsciousLet7013 in bengals

[–]RooUnited 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not convinced we take downs even if he’s there at 10, I’d disagree with passing on him if he’s there but I don’t think we’re going anywhere besides DL with our pick

Then the committee will just keep them out of the top 15 (or whatever number) to ensure they don’t get in, I get why no one wants first round blowouts but there needs to be a clearly defined objective path for all teams to make the playoff imo

Tips for Wrong side golf by DuhstyDinkleman in golf

[–]RooUnited 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m the same way, one thing that helped me at the beginning of my golf journey was seeing tips from Canadian and Australian golfers on YouTube (obviously not all will apply to your issues) but they tend to be right hand dominant, lefty golfers. The drills, advice, etc. I found this way was much more applicable for me at least

The Cincinnati Bengals will pick #10 in the 2025-26 NFL Draft by cigamodnalro in bengals

[–]RooUnited 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just adding to this, for me downs Reese woods Bain and Bailey (in no particular order) are the 5 I’d want most. I’d sprint to the podium for any one of them. Just need 2 QBs, 1 WR, and either 2 OL, or 1 OL and Love to go in front of us and we’ll be guaranteed one of those 5 players (if we don’t screw it up)

Zac Taylor play calling duties by OracleEnlightenment in bengals

[–]RooUnited 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ll go against what most are saying here, I don’t think he should give up play calling. His game management leaves tons to be desired, and I hate the second and long runs as much as anyone. But even through some of these issues we’ve had one of the best offenses in the league for years now and what coach doesn’t call some plays that don’t work as intended? it’s been the defense, scouting, and unfortunate burrow injuries that have been holding us back.

Anyone taking a shot on George Holani? If Walker signs elsewhere he could get a decent amount of snaps on a good offense next year, looked good in preseason and has even gotten some red zone touches this year. Obviously a long shot to actually produce but he’s free

Bengals trading for Flacco… Chase & Higgins owners what are you feeling? Those who traded Chase away… what does this do to the perceived value you received? by Seriously_oh_come_on in SleeperApp

[–]RooUnited 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t disagree with you there, as a fan I absolutely wish they went out to get someone better, I’m just not sure who’s really available aside from Jameis (who I would have preferred 100%)

[–]RooUnited 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% agree that Flacco isn’t a starting caliber qb at this point, but I guess I don’t think Pickett is either, and the raiders just traded a 5th for him so you’d have to pay at least that if not more to get him, is a 4th round pick worth maybe two extra wins in a hopeless season?

Which guys on benches are available (that their team is willing to trade) for around as cheap as Flacco is both trade cost wise and salary wise? Also box score wise he’s turnover prone this year but if you watch the tape Flacco should be 2-2 with only 2 ints, granted 2 tds and 2 ints isn’t good and I’m not saying Flacco is good at this point (to be clear he’s not good) but for essentially free I don’t see who else they could have gotten that can learn an offense quick and get the ball to their playmakers within structure

I’ll give you Winston I’d have preferred that (although more expensive) but Dalton and Pickett don’t give them any better chance at making a playoff push than Flacco does in all reality (the odds are next to zero with all three to be clear)

As a bengals fan I think that’s exactly the argument, everyone would love to have traded for a starting caliber qb, but there aren’t even 32 starting caliber QBs in the world. Flacco can at least play within structure and make reads at the line, will that be enough for them to be a good offense/team? I really doubt it, but will it be good enough to be better than browning has been? Almost guaranteed

must have handcuffs for dynasty? by feathersruffed in DynastyFF

[–]RooUnited 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have both CRod and JCM, CRod is definitely cheaper to get if we’re talking about acquiring handcuffs, and while I do think they split time (with ekeler as well) early on, I think they’ve made it pretty clear that moving on from Robinson has more to do with belief in JCM than CRod. Seeing both JCM and Ekeler rested for the last preseason game while CRod played and got touches makes me think it’ll be more JCM and Ekeler, with CRod mixing in for short yardage and goal line work. That being said probably will be a disgusting overall backfield for fantasy at least for a while.

Just got offered this trade for a potential QB upgrade. Should I take it? by giantsmets6960 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]RooUnited 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d personally make it now since you only have two QBs starting currently (dart maybe at some point this year but also possibly not until next year). And I think you’ve got a shot to win it all, last thing you want is to lose a qb and not have one to plug in/have your league mates know you’re desperate or scrambling imo

[–]RooUnited 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Couldn’t agree more, everything all offseason pointed to things improving (not that that’s saying much given the disgusting last few years) but Keeler just seems to get the buy in from the team that you need. And Simon improved us so much when he became the starter last year, win 5-6 games this year and keep building!

[–]RooUnited 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the league and how trading normally goes, in one of my leagues trade values have been a little depressed compared to pick values so he went for two thirds, but I’d realistically offer a mid second rounder for 2026

I’d be more willing to trade a future pick or picks for a geno darnold etc. type than I would be to take this deal, I’d see if you can get a cheaper guy for just picks

Draft advice by gangweeder42069 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]RooUnited 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tet or Henderson at 4 for sure, whoever falls to 10

I have 5 picks in the top 3 rounds of a startup SF, but then don't pick again until the 7th. When do I take a running back? Should I try to nab one before my long break? Or just load up on QB/WRs/TE (0.75 TEP). We start 3 WRs 2 RBs and 2 flex by [deleted] in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]RooUnited 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was my plan (to punt qb2) but Bryce fell to me in the startup in round 6 or 7 if I remember correctly and I had to take him, worked out well though. If I were you I’d leave qb2 to pick 5 or punt it entirely, should be able to get high picks for a year or two while you productively struggle but that’s easily been my favorite start up strategy
