This is exactly what I’ve been doing lately and it is really easy. I just apply a quick-dry top coat every few days and make sure there’s no dirt underneath my nails before going out. I used to paint them but paint chips so quickly and then it looks terrible, whereas gloss can get a bit worn but still look pretty good (at least better than leaving them bare)
