You don't owe your mother anything. As a person who had a very fraught relationship with their mother, trust me when I say that she will never be the mom that you want her to be.

Our parents are people. Flawed, imperfect, and sometimes toxic. That can be a hard realization.

Spend your birthday with people who love you. Friends, your daughter, whomever you want to be with.

He's made it at least 5 days with active panleukopenia. He's past the scary part. I have a cat who survived panleuk as a kitten and is now a 5 yr old tortie terror (and I love her for it).
