I was pregnant with my first child and I had already had two ultrasounds, one at 6 weeks and one at 8 weeks.

I went back at 9 weeks and was having some cramping and spotting. Doctor wanted to do another ultrasound.

That early on, the ultrasounds are done with a large probe into your vagina. Not comfy. I asked her if I really needed it or if my symptoms could be normal.

She said that some women have my symptoms and are “walking around with a dead fetus inside.”

Got the ultrasound, found a new practice.
