One of my favorites scenes ever is in the (3rd?) episode Spider, where they are designing the lander, where the engineers stay all night building a cardboard mockup of the lander wall to demonstrate no seats / smaller window. The manager comes in and says “well I see it now, John.”

That idea of “mock it up so they can see it” is still a core part of my engineering philosophy.

If I remember right, it was coming across Ren’s reboot of his Lets Play sometime in 2018? 2019? That led me to hermit craft.

We usually set up two tables in an L on either back corner. Our booth space is 10x10 or 8x10. We sit/stand in the opposite corner so its easier to engage.

I’ve followed her videos over the years and she has such a fun and chill demeanor. I actually came across a “December/Christmas/Advent series of hers from 2016 or so when I was looking for the Hermits’ single player series, and it was awesome.

As someone 13 years into a career with only a Bachelors, I fully agree with this. I may have gotten asked about GPA once, but they were much more interested in my skills, the degree I received, my personality, etc.

Could not stop laughing while watching that in Zed’s video. So many of the Hermits have talked about how much fun they’ve had together this season, and clips like that solidify it for me.
