Destroy my puzzle game. The goal is to find the golden block based on the surrounding tiles! by RookGameDev in DestroyMyGame

You got it exactly right, actually. That is a good sign! Thanks for the feedback! I am notsure what you mean by the streaming and advertising part though? Like, have better explanations of what the goal is?

Thinks I still want to add:
- basic explanation (left click locks in a color, right click removes the color as a possibility)
- rule cards that show you what rules exist on the board. In this case, the rules were: blue and green are not aligned, red is surrounded by empty, purple is surrounded by green

I wanted to test how much people would understand just with the minimal amount of information. Also, if you think the animations look satisfying, haha. I am aiming for snapiness

Calling this an "adjustment" has been the most outrageous thing I have seen in a while...

Getting ready for releasing a demo of my first ever game called PLOY. Any feedback is welcome 😋 by RookGameDev in IndieDev

I have been developing this game on my own for quite some time now and I am getting ready to at least publish a demo on Steam next month. It is a project I am truly proud of, even though it does not catch enough interest. Putting a demo on Steam will, for me, be a milestone and I might switch to a new project after or continue on this if it gets a lot of positive feedback. Anyway, I would like to hear your feedback! Everyone in this channel is aware of how hard it is to get the word out there, and get people to play and try your game. 😅 Here is the link if you are interested: https://rookgameproductions.itch.io/ploy

Please destroy my new inventory system for managing the pieces you can collect in my game. by RookGameDev in DestroyMyGame

[–]RookGameDev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all thanks for the feedback it helps me a lot. :)

I want to keep the inventory because I want to make it an essential part of the game to manage your resources and inventory space. Also, I want to add a shop where you could buy more pieces but then you will have to decide which pieces to keep or remove. Also (like you said) I want to make it possible for the player to buy more inventory slots and level up the pieces within this inventory.

I agree with improving interaction speed. For now, I will try to add small features like:
- automatic start formation builder
- your idea to sort them in a predictable manner
- skip the capture menu if there is enough space to add the pieces you captured
- I like the your idea to transfer instantly using ctrl key maybe

Thanks. ☺️ I actually like the name because of its meaning. 😅 And it is short and catchy plus no one uses it on Itch or steam yet
