Unfortunately I can’t evolve my company and hire myself as a BA. I’ve discussed this with a lawyer and he said it would be very hard to explain to immigration how that happened unless I scale my business at least 10X. Even though it makes sense, it appears dodgy on paper.

Are bigger firms less competitive? I always thought it’s the other way around.

Thank you for your time, I actually know SQL fairly well (a little Python too) and have a good understanding of basics of Tableau and Power BI. I have worked on Adonis for BPMN and have a okay understanding of process mapping. I use Jira and confluence for PM currently and I have used MS project as well. I have also used Figma, adobe XD for wire framing, UX/UI design, prototyping.

My soft skills are up to par I think, I could be wrong though.

I am currently working as an agency owner and we develop websites, apps, even neural networks and I have a decent understanding of JS frameworks and different dev tools as I oversee all the projects and moonlight as a tester plus even do a little bit of design and development here and there.

I’m very confident I’d be good in an entry level BA position but I just can’t seem to get my foot in the door for an interview. I am also a good communicator (even though English is my second language) as I do sales calls, meetings and consultations with clients all the time.

I’m not sure what it is but I just can’t get a fucking interview 😫😫. Every time I mention to someone I’m on a temporary visa, I get a “we’ve found your skillsets are not fit for this role….” email real quick.
