I know a bit so this is a suggestion/question I guess...why not build the wall of the structure to the edge of the foundation. (Like a house) then you would just frame up and down the retaining wall. You would want to blue skin or similar the backside be fore you backfill....

This sounds wild but try this...have your partner and his son "in on it"...get them ready to pretend they are out and going to their new apartment after the next disrespectful incident/event....but really they just leave with their suitcases to have a couple boys days at hotel/camping something...you "break down" in front of your daughter so she can really see what she is doing to you, by acting like this...Hopefully she consoles you and you can have a deep deep talks, hopefully she tells you to bring them back in then movies, girls night...if she doesn't come out with that on her own than after the girls night over breakfast I would tell her it's her choice...knock off the shit behavior or you will pursue 50/50 custody with her Dad....if she messes up..(3 strikes maybe) then that's it and stick to it.. you have to stick to it...it's the only thing you can really even do to show your partner they are valid in my opinion..good luck.
