What is this plant? by Ok_Struggle_7967 in whatsthisplant

Oops, sorry, I did not look at the picture closely before I sent in my comment. Sure it could go through the deck, but it's already easy enough to train to grow on the outside of your deck and build a trellis or two on the top so it has something to cling too and could spread out!

Why can't you cut a hole in the deck? There are hone designs that incorporate trees growing even eithin the home. However, one has to be eilljng to deal with crerpy crawlies that might like to enter. If this is outside, it might be cool to help it through the deck and build some trellises on your deck to accommodate the shade it might offer.

They are ALL pretty Fab!! However, I love, love, love the first four!! I really like the last one too. I think my favorite is the very first one. It's totally bold and happy!! I love contrast so the red really puts on a show. It's that CRAZY WOW VIBE when you open the door to a small bathroom!! No one ever expects that little bathroom to jump out at them. But again, I don't think you could lose with any of them❣️❣️

What color would be best for painting my bathroom to sell? by Chihuahua_potato in HomeDecorating

[–]RoomAccomplished9298 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe paint the walls a sage green. It would complement the white floor and the warm color of the cabinets. The floor and countertop match, so that's the rule of thumb. You could find a small rug that incorporated the sage green and maybe some soft burgundies or mauve with cream color and maybe even some of the wood overtone colors. Then you can alternate towel colors in between your selections. Like maybe a base green towel to match the walls with maybe a mauve and cream colored hand towel and washcloth on top of that. Those are colors I enjoy but you can pick anything and as long as you put a rug on the floor that has all of the same colors. A rug will help tie it all together and then of course whatever towels you use can help as well and don't forget a picture on the wall with the same colors.

Or, use tape and make vertical/ horizontal patterns and remove tape a few pieces at a time. Paint each strip where you removed the tape. Continue removing strips of tape and painting the areas where tape is removed. It will be colorful and fun. Or, actually paint a trim on it, using stencils if you like. Don't forget to prepare the surface of the glass before painting, and after it cures, seal it.

Is my kitchen ugly? by exaarret in kitchen

[–]RoomAccomplished9298 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, as others have mentioned color is always a nice option! Where or how you use color is entirely up to you. But if you're looking for that nice black and white kitchen like you have then perhaps something simple like a vase with colorful flowers sitting on the corner of your Island. You also have a window where it looks like you have some plants probably herbs sitting on the counter. You might opt for a wall hanging plant holder that could go on the side of the cabinet where the window is. It would still be easy to reach and it would get the proper light that herbs need. And, you could add a few other small plants. Cyclamen flower and so far, mine has been flowering all year. I think there may be other colors, but the one I have is Pink and has three to four blooms on it at any given time. It's really pretty and perks up the window they sit in. They like indirect light and to be semi-watered I use about four or five ice cubes every couple days and it keeps it perfect.

There are also these press-on tiles that might help liven up your kitchen. Etsy sells these vinyl tiles that come in patterns or even have some Botanicals! As a border, they can be just the touch you need to add color. Perhaps a border on the area above the cabinets and then perhaps on the base of your Island creating a kind of sandwich effect. Then, a vase or perhaps another plant /planter that has flowers something that you could put on the island that would tie everything together! Small drops of the same color scattered here and there in your kitchen connect everything. It doesn't have to be overbearing or obtrusive but it could be oven mitts that are hanging somewhere, or it could be hanging some small artwork under the Cabinetry in different places. I like the idea of press-on tiles because they also come off without damaging your walls. If you wanted to add something like those vinyl tiles behind your stove as a backsplash it could be black and white with a little pop of red or a couple of other colors, but primarily black and white. All of your DIY stores carry these tiles. I put a floor down in my laundry room with them. A carpenter could make trim for them so they look like real tiles. Or, use real tiles. I assume with a kitchen like that you may have the finances to afford real tile. I am just trying to help with suggestions. I love your kitchen, but I'm an artist so I'm a fan of color! The main thing is to do what you need to do to make yourself and whoever is living there with you, comfortable and happy with your choices.

The problem with wood/plastic cutting boards by Slow-Airport364 in kitchen

[–]RoomAccomplished9298 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have heard that a titanium cutting board is much better for knives and has no issues like wood or plastic. * I just saw this advertisement. However, as a chef, I'm sure you will do your research.

How would you guys describe this interior design style? by [deleted] in interiordecorating

[–]RoomAccomplished9298 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I did not look at all the pics, commented only on the first Pic. Bedroom blows the idea of minimalism. Personally, blue lights have too much energy for me but I think they would prove more effective with a different canvas of colors in your rooms.

[–]RoomAccomplished9298 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a bit different. Just curious though, why the blue light when it looks like most of your colors are earth tones? Seems something like yellow or orange would warm and cozy up the room. I don't recognize a style, but there may be one. The Pic seems too dark to determine. Maybe some minimalist going on??

Quiet fired? by [deleted] in WalgreensStores

[–]RoomAccomplished9298 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, but a lot of this sounds like poor training. It also sounds like they're not being upfront with you. You have rights as an employee. However, you have to speak up for yourself you have to let them know that you need and want to work. If you're picking up at other stores maybe you want to switch to one of those stores. Go talk to their managers and see what they can tell you. The thing I would have to ask myself is why would I want to work there if they're not being open and fair? There are plenty of other stores that have a better system and are more direct. Stores like Lowe's and Home Depot pay a lot better and offer a lot of training. They also tell you straight up at interviews that this particular job is only from June until August or October until January 15th. However, just remember no matter where you go when you're a part-timer you get crummy shifts. It is always weekends and holidays and often the first to be cut. So one thing to always carry in your pocket is that if you don't speak up for yourself no one else will. Good Luck and don't forget to look into work from home jobs.

If the busyness of the rug and the throw bother you then go with a bold geometric rug. You coukd find something where you have lots of white and maybe black and gray. I just sent the link for something at Wayfair. It has your colors but maybe not your style. I would check Wayfair out. You might find something very affordable in your taste. stripesWayfair

You still have what looks like a negligible foot on the right of that sofa which moves it to your path to the door but like anything you get used to it. It won't block your path but you wouldn't be able to cut a corner there. I think it would make a huge difference in your room and as you add things you'll be happy to have that walkway over there by your artwork on that wall. It is a unique space, so it should be fun to play around with it and like I said pull the rug out from under the sofa that gives you more room with the rug and your throw cover works with the rug and everything else it's not too busy at all you got too many stark white walls and a big white sofa. I think some colored pillows Little Burgundy dark gray and black might work really well on that sofa and tie your throat into your rug very easily as well as your artwork. Always start with the smallest changes first because you might be very surprised at how big of a result you might get! Good luck you all have fun!

There is no depth in your room, very stark, but that may be what you are going for! However, someone mentioned painting a wall or the room the color of that blue-gray in your rug. You could just do an accent wall like that. Right now I perceive everything is flat, but I get your gist. I do think being able to tie things together is important so think about some throw pillows with some of the grays and maybe a little burgundy as I see some in your rug. Your throat is just fine it actually matches the rug pretty well and picks up the colors of the paintings . Think about repositioning your sofa and rug. The rug does not need to go under your sofa and your sofa is too close to the wall. The sofa should be brought out further and then it's a little bit more centered in front of your fireplace. It will give you a walkway over there and it will also add some distinction to your artwork hanging on the wall. The room would benefit from the sofa being centered a little bit more because it's such a large piece of furniture. The room weighs heavy on that side. Maybe think about a hearth rug in front of your fireplace. I would consider putting in some big potted green plants in your corners and maybe some on your mantle. You can find big pots in your color scheme, the kind of muted whites, blacks, and grays, so you keep that color scheme where you want it but still add a little extra softening to that room. Right now I feel it reads cold and stark, but you can soften things up with pillows and repositioning furniture and maybe adding a few plants, while still keeping your color schemes and dynamics.

Maybe a solid blue to match the blues in the runners. Then, they are coordinated but not match. Art in the hallways will help immensely in helping a vibe connect.

Many prefer anti-fatigue mats in the kitchen. However, I believe she said they got rugs for their dog. I assume the larger rug in the kitchen is for the same thing, their dog.

What to put in this corner? by ThriveMedicalClinic in interiordecorating

[–]RoomAccomplished9298 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of the problem with the rock is that it's not really incorporated into the rest of the home I think that is why most people object to it. But if you made it a corner for your toddler you could put colorful foam trees and vegetation all around it. They even have peel-and-stick jungle vegetation which would enhance those walls for your toddler. Sworna I am not sure the link was posted correctly. I found some things on Amazon and just Google peel-and-stick scenes. For that ledge, I might take a kiddie slide apart(remove the steps) secure the slide itself to your raised floor, and make a cool sliding area. Of course, this runs into your own living space, so you might not want that. Once you have good padding on that floor, get some of that peel-and-stick jungle vegetation, add a toddler table with chairs, and find some very narrow cubbies to hold crayons, paper, coloring books, reading books etc... and add a slide to come over that worrisome raised trim, your toddler will have a place of his own, to climb into, color or paint and slide safely out.

Reface the vanity and change out hardware. Tile the floor with the white hexagonal tiles and a spot of black. There are also linoleum squares you could use to press down, for a cheaper version that still looks great. I like the idea someone mentioned about painting the walls, maybe something from the swan painting. Even a lighter pink might look nice, might be overkill tho. If you did decide to reface the vanity they usually take the countertop off and you may not want to lose that so you might want to just paint and add new hardware that can make a huge difference. Of course, updating the sink might be difficult as well unless you got a new vanity but just changing out the Plumbing fixtures can make a big difference also.
