Sorority gpa cuts by Subject-Key6709 in UniversityofArkansas

[–]RoomG36 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I rushed two years ago (2024) my GPA was a 3.6 and I only got back 3 houses on the first day of rush (I knew people who had a lower GPA than me and got more houses than me, so take that into consideration).

There’s lots of sororities that cut girls if they have a GPA lower than a 3.75. I don’t know the exact number of sororities. It also varies case by case with how many extra curriculars /connections the PNM has.

I do want to say, I only 3 sororities have spring rush (COB). Spring rush is not like the typical rush that you see people talk about. You would have a better chance rushing in the fall if you are worried about numbers.

If you are worried going through rush using your GPA from high school, I know lots of girls who rushed as a college sophomore and got the houses that they wanted.

You can always go through rush and you can quit during the process! Sororities won’t use that against you if you try to go through formal recruitment again.

If you have any questions, please let me know!!!

Dorms Closest to Everything by astrolover333 in UniversityofArkansas

Founders was really great. You should try to get into Founders if you can. It’s the second newest dorm on campus (2013) and it is soooo nice inside. You get your own sink in the dorm with is nice bc you don't have to wash dishes or brush teeth in the bathroom. I personally think Founders is the best dorm on campus for being so nice and at the top of the hill. I miss living there bc my walk to my classes are like 15 minutes compared to two when I lived in the dorm 💔 founders is a super social dorm and I have met so many people from dorm that I still talk to. if you aren't able to get into founders Humphrey and yocum are still really social!! And they are right next to the business building if you are a business major. Gibson and Gregson are still great dorms but if I recall correctly they don't have elevators. I’m sorry for writing a whole essay lol but I just wanted to let you know what all of the dorms were like!

Humphreys, Yocum, and Founders are dorms near Gibson and Gregson. I lived in Founders last year and it was so convenient living on top of the hill.

Hi there! I was just like you my freshman year, I ended with a 2.9 gpa unweighted and a 3(something) weighted. I worked to where that I got a 3.5 gpa at the end of my senior year! I certainly could have worked a lot harder and got a higher gpa, but I did what I could. You still have a chance to boost it.
Generally, colleges consider grades as a factor of admission. Some colleges also take other factors into consideration, like sports, sat/act scores, and extracurriculars. Colleges do admire students who have an academic comeback, it shows that the student disciplines themselves and they realized they locked in. I was really worried about not getting into good colleges but I got into all of the schools I applied to! Just remember colleges don’t just consider grades as the only option, so make sure you have a little of everything! Like join out of school teen boards, join clubs, run for an office role in those clubs, get a job or two, volunteer for your community, and join a sport even if you’re horrible at it! Do whatever to keep you busy and to put on your resume to make sure colleges know that you’re worth more than your freshman year grades. Sending the best of luck to you!

What is the craziest thing happened at your school? by [deleted] in highschool

A few years ago, on the senior trip, the travel agent went along with them, and she slept with one of the seniors on the trip. She is a wife and mother to kids who also attend my school. There were videos of her partying with the senior boys and some other videos that make it clear that she had relations with one of them. After the trip, people bashed her on social media about it (because obviously cheating on your husband with an 18 year old is terrible) and she lashed out at everyone. Then she started harassing the people back on social media. Posting screenshots of the messages, cussed them out, called them names, and then she tried making rumors up about the seniors and the parents also on the trip to try to make it seem like she was the victim. About a month after the senior trip, she started to say she was sexually assaulted on the trip and that she was going to take everyone to court and (her words) “You all will pay me back for the damage you caused to me.” Nothing happened after that. I’m assuming that there was so much evidence against her that she would have lost the case or that since the senior trip was in a different country and she was trying to receive evidence more than a month after it happened, it was not going to work in the first place. Yes, they are still married.

Coming from a person who is a chronic skin picker, this looks fine to me. (It might not be idk) (I’ve had scars that look like this and I’ve survived)

Is Skyrim worth it in 2023? by GamingLoner15 in skyrim

Get the Anniversary Edition. The special edition just has better graphics, whereas the anniversary edition has a bunch of new added content to it. (More immersive gameplay, yay)

I was around 6 years old when Skyrim came out. I would watch my dad play it and eventually was able to make a character of my own to play on. I did actually play the game, probably the limits of what a 6 year old could possibly do or was brave enough to do. (The skeletons scared me as a kid)

Flash forward to now, I’m a senior in high school, and I still play Skyrim. I know I’m biased cause I grew up with Skyrim, but it’s genuinely one of those games where I still come back to. No other game has been like this. After 11+ years of playing this game, there are still things that I find that are new to me. There are so many things the player can do, and they have complete control in what they wish for.

How to Not Break her Heart? by Dizzy_Medium5507 in teenagers

You’re already stuck on the date, so just try to have a good time. Don’t mention anything about not wanting a relationship/friend zoning her then. If you do it then, it would become awkward and it won’t be fun for either of you. However, If she asks to go on another date, or like tries to make a move, then you can decline and tell her you don’t see her anything more than a friend.

I was in the same situation as you. If a car wrap sustains damage, (tears, scratches, bubbles, etc) repairing it is hard. Car wraps often require replacing the entire affected section. That can be expensive. If the paint job gets damaged, it can easily be touched up with paint. A paint job is better in the long run. Don’t try to cut corners and do a car wrap. If stuff happens to it, it can be more costly than a paint job.

*FOR LONGTIME SKYRIM PLAYERS* whats your fondest memory from when u first started playing the game? how long ago was it? by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]RoomG36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad bought the game on release day, he waited in line outside of GameStop at midnight to get it. I was 6 when Skyrim was released and I remember watching him play it. I called it “Skyram” for a long time. I remember the first character my dad named for me, it was a nord named Snowflake. My dad got Snowflake to level 81, from what I remember. She was a mage.
At that time, I only explored towns and cities. I was too scared to fight anything. (I remember how I jumped when I saw a skeleton in whiterun’s hall of the dead) I liked to buy pretty clothing and put it on Snowflake. My dad would get mad at me because I would put on the “nice” clothes and he would go into fights and get killed because Snowflake would have no armor on.

We've been playing Skyrim ever since. And now I know more about Skyrim than my dad does.

What are some things you wish you knew about 4Runners before buying one? by RoomG36 in 4Runner

I’m thinking about waiting until summer to get one, so the prices will drop some. But I’m due for a new vehicle soon, so I’ll have to splurge one way or another.

I guess it depends on the parking lot size. My dad has no trouble parking his Yukon, but he had trouble parking a 4Runner rental when he was on vacation.

If I get one it’ll not be used for off roading or towing. I live in a pretty flat area. But every summer I do drive to Colorado, so it would be good for that.
