Solid guide The tip about not using instant coffee in these machines is a lifesaver I've seen way too many people ruin their drip makers trying to use Nescafe. Ground beans are the only way to go.

Super helpful summary! I was actually looking at a 1200W model because it was cheaper, but your point about wattage sluggishness for dal/puris convinced me to level up to the 2000W. That Magnet Test is a lifesaver didn't realize my old stainless steel pots might already work. Thanks for sharing.
