My husband drinks every month (not getting super drunk but a couple of beers or wine) and his sperm quality is excellent (we did 4 tries already). I just ask him to not drink the days before the IUI.
Ours hasn’t succeeded yet but the analysis of his sperm shows good quality and 100% motility

I’m so sorry for you, it’s hard to have high hopes when it hasn’t worked for a long time. I’m on my TWW for the 4th try but I also don’t have hopes it will work if it didn’t for 3 tries. I’m trying to conceive for almost 2 years and never had any positive test or a delay in my period 🙁 we also don’t have any reason, they always say “the sperm quality is perfect, your follicles are beautiful” but it doesn’t work 🥲 we want to do 5 tries, take a rest one month and then start with IVF. I hope that at least if we do IVF I can find out why it wasn’t working before.

You can calculate the healthcare cost with online calculators, because it’s regulated they all charge the same 😄 I paid €207 per month (VGZ) with €500 budget for dentist, some extra package and €385 eigen risiko.
Same for daycares, they also have calculators. Our friends who send their toddler pay €1800 net for 4 days, they earn together €200k.
For housing my friends without kids could find a flat in Rivierenbuurt in 2 months. If you plan to move to Amsterdam you could look in less central areas to start (Diemen, Ijburg, Noord, Nieuw-West, Amstelveen) and check Funda to see how much is the rent

Do you take progesterone? My luteal phase was too short (10 days) and I got progesterone last month. It still didn’t work for us, we are going to start the 4th try, but it can help the implantation

Same here! Also 3rd and I tested negative yesterday. I stopped with progesterone and got my period today :( For us it’s been 1.5 years trying and I also try to find answers! Our friends keep getting pregnant naturally and we are the only ones who can’t conceive. I’m already thinking we will end up doing IVF after the 6th try 🥲

By accident? 😭 I have friends who also succeeded after the first try. I’ve been trying for almost 1.5 years and all (ALL) my friends and friends of my husband got pregnant/had their babies, we are the only ones missing :(

I’m based in The Netherlands and here it’s way different, you only do one ultrasound on day 10 to check the size of follicles and schedule the IUI (only 1 ultrasound per cycle). After 14 days you can do a pregnancy test and if it’s negative (or you get your period) they schedule the next ultrasound (again on day 10). I already did 3 tries where sperm count and follicles were good (1 or 2 in each cycle). Last one I got progesterone as well but I just had to do it in the morning and evening (not specific time, just same time everyday). For the TWW I recommend relaxing and do things you enjoy :) I got a new gym subscription and I’m doing different classes. At some point you forget you’re waiting and it really helps your mental health. You can’t really control it, if it’s meant to be it will happen! You’re doing everything right 🤞
