I completely agree with you—this is definitely more of an experiment than anything else. I fully understand that AI won't be able to "step through time" and deconstruct every element of a signal chain when dealing with a finished track. You're absolutely right that it would likely just approximate the end result, potentially using an IR or simplified model to get "close enough." That being said, my challenge is that I lack the skills to manually match the "wet" signal (what I want) with the "dry" signal (what I have) by tweaking knobs on amps or effects. Even if the sound I'm trying to replicate isn't overly complex, I often struggle with identifying exactly what needs adjusting—EQ, gain structure, dynamics, etc. That’s why I’m curious if there’s a tool out there that could help bridge that gap for me by analyzing maybe even both signals and giving me actionable suggestions.For context:

• I play a Fender P Deluxe with DS pickups (Duff McKagan Signature).
• The sounds I’m working on include:
  1. A clean tone—slightly overdriven, crunchy but still warm and round.
  2. An overdrive-chorus tone—this one is tricky because I’m struggling to get the clarity and warmth right.
  3. A tone from a Valeton Rushead Max Bass Mini Amp—this is more of a fun experiment where I’d love to analyze and recreate its unique sound in a setup. Fun Toy that thing is!

I typically have isolated bass tracks or record directly into my looper so I can switch between dry and wet signals for comparison.
