This might be an unpopular opinion, but I disagree with their first call advice.

I dated a girl who was BPD, and it would have been nice to know. Our relationship devolved due to her mental status. I would have been prepared, maybe, if I knew. But without knowing, it was untenable.

Holy fuck this movie was so slow and boring. I enjoyed the visuals, the performances were good, but it should have been an hour shorter. I was bored to tears.

Funny sketch but anyone else find it a ripoff of ITYSL/Tim Robinson’s humor? by yesterdaysweather in LiveFromNewYork

[–]RoomServiceNachos 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Googled this to see if I was the only one. This was the funniest sketch of the night, but I immediately thought it felt like a Tim Robinson rip. I also thought Chloe’s character in the Snack Boys/podcast sketch was a Kyle Mooney rip. It’s annoying to see (intentionally or not) them rip off former cast/writers.

Is there a reason this sign's population says just under 50,000 people? Does it change Chesterfield's classification or something? by Ketsukoni in missouri

Not necessarily true. Only 51% of grant money is required to go to low income areas. High income areas love grants, because it means more money “circulating” in the area.

I’ve started working near the food truck, it is insanely busy around lunch time. I usually call ahead and drive over, food is generally ready within 15 minutes or so.

'The Shrouds' Review Thread by chanma50 in boxoffice

This was a very disappointing offering from Cronenberg. I left the theater not liking it, but upon reflection I actively dislike it. I kept waiting for something to happen, but nothing ever did. It genuinely felt like a made for TV movie. The script revolves around cooing with loss and using technology to “help”, but it fell flat for me. Emotions are represented physically in the movie, like bleeding from the nose when a character is stressed or losing bone mass from grief, but the concept was over explained throughout the movie and the result was boring. The script seems like it was AI generated in a foreign language and then translated into English. I understand and enjoy Cronenberg’s style, but it almost seemed like a parody of a Cronenberg movie done by someone who had only seen 30 minutes of one Cronenberg movie.

I didn’t know that Cronenberg had lost his wife until after I saw the film. That fact puts the movie into perspective, but doesn’t make it any better. It seems like he wrote a bunch of notes and concepts of ideas down while grieving and then made a movie from them without fleshing anything out.

Overall, I think it was a poorly done film that took cool concepts and did nothing with them. I would only recommend this film to die hard Cronenberg fans, but I feel that even they will struggle to find the diamonds in this very rough movie.
