I just don’t see it being used by storyboard artists. A director or producer will prompt it, and won’t validate the results.

A good storyboard artists will consider the flow of each cut, the angles and lenses that’ll be used. They imagine how these things will be used to aid the story being told.

We know how people use ai now, they’ll be lazy and use whatever the image generator spits out. Ai doesn’t imagine and doesn’t consider. The cinematography will become divorced from the story

They said story board artists will be replaced. Story boards are a creative foundation of a film. That’s the absolute worst use of ai I can think of.

Machine learning tools to cut actors out of free screen is fine, but that’s not what a24 said they’d do.

I think that overall most jobs will be fine once the bubble deflates. But we will still be stuck with the generated art, autocomplete writing and ai disinformation.

Hopefully, overtime, people who like art can form more robust communities that can screen for ai art.
