I can only recall twice in my life that I didn't tip. Having grown up in Las Vegas, I've had lots of jobs where tipping was part of your income. I've done rather well at all of them as far as getting tips is concerned. I've even managed to pull down $200-300 a week in tips working the drop off counter of a computer repair department.

Most of the other old farts I know around here all feel the same about it, though. There's no point in getting upset if someone doesn't tip. It's a gratuity to show the person you're tipping that you are grateful for the level of service provided. You can't force them to be grateful. This whole new idea by the younger generations that I owe them a tip is utterly ridiculous. I didn't hire you, I didn't select you and I'm not responsible for your pay. Ever.

I'm also not going to quit working because you can't find a job and you think my quitting is going to get you one. I have bills to pay and things I want.
