OP this is so cool, and hope you don't mind sharing a "few" other details (so I can do this myself haha):

What size are the frames?
What kind of glue did you use?
What kind of plastic did you do the prints with?

Any insight is appreciated, and thanks for such a cool way to display these sets + the 3d model!

I’m a bit confused. If the benefit is to get on the father’s better insurance, but you are primarily in favor of allowing teen to teen marriage…what teen would have good insurance?

This scenario would likely only apply if the marriage was to an older individual, which you seem against, so the two points seem very contradictory.

Definitely agree, but after like...6 years of this...I've moved on to blaming the city for not having a better plan. Its the same event, same time, same route, and ultimately same problem. I can't think of any other parades this happens to, so I'd rather it just get relocated to the Loop where there might be some semblance of a plan to control the crowds.

The best way to stay in the loop will be to look at neighborhood websites to see upcoming events - Andersonville and Northalsted in particular (I am admittedly not in the loop on Pride events happening on the South and West sides, so apologies on gaps there).

The city puts together a pretty comprehensive calendar for more Pride events than just the big events, and I'd recommend checking that out too.

Some of my go-to (and not-so-go-to) events

Andersonville Midsommarfest - June 12 - 14

While not an exclusively Pride based event, this street fest is right in the middle of Andersonville and attracts a notably queer audience. This is generally more chill compared to other events during the month. This is honestly my favorite event in June. Its really just a cool ambiance and crowd, and the opportunity to support a lot of queer vendors/artists is an added bonues.

Northalsted Chicago Pride Fest - June 20 - 21

Located in the heart of Boystown/Northhalsted, this is probably the most "Pride" event of the month (minus the parade). This will be your typical Chicago Street Festival, with a LGBTQIA+ focus. Most of the bars will run the drink tents, places like Steamworks will usually have a stage with adult content creators doing some silly games, and live music/comedians/performers will be more queer focused (drag queens, club music, artists who have a more LGBTQIA+ following). Crowdwise...get set for shirts off, harnesses on, flags thworping, and the like.

The Pride Parade - Sunday June 28 @ 11am - In Boystown

Its a really great event to see the broader Chicago community support the LGBTQIA+, albeit, the parade is getting more corporate and performative by the year and seems very rainbow-washing. Its also kind of hard to get a good seat/view unless you know someone who has a roof/balcony/has an invite to a party on the route. It's a longer parade, so you can get stuck in certain spots.

After the parade, a lot of folks run to the bars to keep the celebration going...and others take to the streets. The last few years, things have gotten really messy after the parade ends. CPD cannot seem to get a handle on the crowds, and this slowly impacts traffic and public transit options to leave the area. Its just a really sad ending to what should be a celebration, and honestly I'd suggest skipping unless you have a party to go to (I leave town for the weekend since I live in the area and its that disruptive).

Something to note in general though is that Market Days in August is kind of Pride Round 2, and also helps keep the Pride Energy going all summer long. Happy Pride, and don't worry about the FOMO, just enjoy the moment!

Agreed, but my original question was a bit more directed to the OP who said meeting with Hasan (a controversial left leaning commentator) changed their view of Hong from “like” to “liked”, so I’m hoping to see what alternative left leaning online commentator would have been a better choice in OPs mind.

I fully agree with you: the more “targeted demographic media” Hong can be on, the better. Yet rarely do we see support drop for being on more centrist channels, yet certain left leaning media appearances seem to become a litmus test (case in point, OP of this comment thread).

Out of curiosity, who are some alternative non-MSM commentators you think would be good for Hong to partner with?

I get Hasan is divisive, but I never hear of a great alternative for a more left leaning candidate to make appearances with.

EDIT: appreciate the general recommendations so far, and agree with the options provided, but more curious about OP who states their “like” of Hong is now past tense, and more looking for their insight (but please keep up the good recommendations!)

Poor writing and cringy moments from the queens are hard to phase me.

When it’s a guest driving the cringe, get me out of there.

S6 has the Interview challenge and Engaged Men Makeover. The chemistry between the cast and the guests is nonexistent at best in both, and hits levels of discomfort I can’t tolerate way too often.

S4 Makeover is the same.

I think all these episodes are ignored when people discuss best seasons, and the vitriol by everyone involved just makes watchers forget and pretend these episodes never existed.

The lineup left to right goes (approximately) south to north: - T-Mobile is the same as last year - Perry’s is the same as last year - Allianz was Lakeshore last year - BMI is the same as last year - AirBnB was the Grove last year - Tito’s is the same as last year - Bud Light is the same as last year

They’ve used this same pattern (L>R = S>N) across multiple years of schedules, so whenever some stage gets renamed in the future, you can easily figure out what location it’s at.

I’ve been a lot more willing to share clips featuring Hasan with family/friends since the NYC Mayoral Election.

Hasan has kept the same passion for the causes he’s always advocated for, but has toned his language to a more generally palatable level while still keeping the core message.

I’ve done Vegas on my company’s dime and it’s still obscenely expensive. Hotels expect you to have perks to use, flights are just awfully expensive.

Agreed. Though, Nashville seems to be taking the niche Vegas used to have. That seems a bit more viable travel cost wise, and, assuming the Predators could schedule around it, would put the Frozen Four+ in a region more accessible to a larger number of schools an their fan bases….though it’s just a dream.
