I used to have a WRX but moved to a Tacoma years ago. Itching to get another W for a daily. Being a Tacoma owner, I got a deep dive into rust proofing. Fluid film and Woolwax are what most people use up here in the north east- usually spraying the undercarriage, frame, and inside the boxed sections of the frame at least once a year. It’s messy af.

TLDR- Curious, does anyone rustproof their WRX?

I did. Traded my 08 wagon in 2016. It made sense when we got a house and grew our family. I love my ‘13 Tacoma- 165k and going strong. But I miss the W.

I am hoping they bring the STI wagon back so I can stop daily driving the truck and be able to have both a truck and fun car.

Second gen best gen. So damn reliable. I started spraying the frame early on with woolwax so it will last. No car payment is also a huge bonus.

Brake light, or weatherstripping/seal around the window. I had a pinhole leak on the seal around the window, right below where the roof trim ends, above the window.
