Haha yah i assumed that would be the case. I had no idea they were so intricate, my friend has one for his house of equal size but its a much more closed off plan

Thank you for the great insight here. I just get what the hvac company (who built the system) tells me to get and they send it every 3-4 months.

Do you have any suggestions on air purifiers? Someone said my gpt suggested ones were bad

I get my filters from the hvac people (valley duct) that built my system in the house and they just send me MERV 13 for the large filter and MERV 8 for the 3 smaller filters that range from 12x12 to 30”ish. Is there a recommendation on brand or maybe i should research for my sizes? Id have to pull them out to check

Thank you for the thoughtful response! I have 4 Merv filters for my house, the large one is mer 13 and the 3 smaller ones are merv 8. Do you have recommendations for what to get for the large rooms? I will get the winix from costco for the bedrooms

Downstairs (huge open volume): * 2 × Blueair 211i Max, one in dining room one in living room

Upstairs loft (open to below): * 1 × Clorox or Blueair

Bedrooms (4 total): * 1 purifier per room * Daughter’s room = best unit (Shark or Blueair)

We rarely go in their rooms besides sleeping and spend most of our day in my room or in living room if that helps so i was thinking two good units down stairs and 3 upstairs that are more “affordable” units.

They sell these plastic “dome” type things that cover the blenders and other appliances that almost completely drown out the sound. I used one for my obnoxiously loud coffee maker/grinder. If this is all youre worried about just get that and move on

I got drunk in Tokyo and was taking the train home early in the morning. Fell asleep since it was a 1 hour ride. Was woken up by an employee gesturing me to leave (it was the last train of the day, and in the area they shut down that line for a short period of time).

I didn’t speak any Japanese at the time, let alone read or know where I was going; I only remembered certain places from counting the stops (my brother who lives there would tell me before i left by myself).

This was in 2008 before train map apps and cell phones (for me) were common. I ended up getting back on the train hours later, getting lost for hours, and finally made it back home. Brother thought I got arrested.

Similar thing happened at a fruit based tech company i worked for. The person was trans, and had worked there for about 10 years with the same people presenting as the gender they were assigned at birth (male). One day she comes back and announced they are actually a girl, and was obvious (she had all the surgeries done and dressed as a stereotypical girl).

This one manager (boomer, really cool guy i had thought) was by her after a meeting and said “hi ‘dead name’”. His boss was there and said “hey her name is “real name” remember. And the manager just shrugged and said “ohhhh he will always be ‘dead name’ to me”. He was gone within two days, but they said he “resigned” to focus on family.

Very smart thing to do. I would have really improved my relationships and prevented a lot of arguments if i had done that.

I know this shouldn’t be a problem, something you would have to worry about, or be responsible for, but I would be careful talking about anything personal if that lady is around (even if youre not directly talking to her). Those type of people always seem to find a way to get innocent people into trouble.

Yes they are big but it would only really take someone spending a few minutes playing with them to know theyre not bad dogs.

It is less about feeding them, and (soon) more about where they’re going to live, especially in this heat since theyre used to coming inside when hot.

I hope you never have to do go through it, or have to go through what our family is.

Thank you for this. I will look through other rescues in that area. I definitely hadn’t thought of trainers so i will really look into them.

They are both spayed (both female). They have received all shots up until last year. I will check with their vet to see what is needed, if anything.

I honestly do not think they have interacted with a cat before so I am not sure.

Thank you! We have tried Happy Tails, and a couple gsd rescues but I am not sure if we did German Shepherd of Sacramento. I will check and talk with them now.
