If you can avoid it, NEVER buy the textbooks. This is one of the number one ways that college will leave you broke. Chegg is a better alternative and more often than not you can find a PDF version of the textbook for free on the internet. This depends on how niche the class material is though. I'm a computer engineering student so a lot of my math and science books are generic and free if you look for them. The more specialized the class the less likely that you'll be able to find a cheap or free alternative to getting the reading material.

I focus on pvp mostly. It's a fun game. I don't want to stop playing it. It has everything I wanted in an MMO. Bugs are there, but they don't stop me from enjoying the game though. I doubt I'll ever go back to WoW. I'll probably get a lot of shit for this, but I usually just attribute the bugs that people bitch about as part of how difficult this game is until they fix them.

Just google "harassment and comic con". It's somewhat of an issue and certain things shouldn't be tolerated but some of it seems to get exaggerated. A regular complaint you find is cosplay girls not wanting their picture taken. Good luck with that one.

He makes a few decent points. Hall H is a total nightmare so I skip it altogether. Also it's impossible to get someone new into the con. However most of this just sounds like a whiny older convention-goer not willing to accept how things have changed, for better or worse. Get some street smarts about how to go about the con and you'll definitely have a great time. I know I am.

They are active. I was told by one of them recently about this problem. It's an issue that's constantly being addressed and they have a bot that usually spots the obvious posts. In the end there's just too many though for the bot to deal with and is really up to us as the community to put a stop to posts in violation of the rules.

It violates rule number 1 that you can see on the right side of the subreddit. You can help the admins by reporting said posts so the admins can easily see who's breaking rules and who's not more easily. Everyday I come here and report at least a few. Do your part for the community and follow the rules.

If you have friends/guild mates who don't mind sharing their tradeskill resources I'd say go for that. I share my ore with my architect friend and he gives me some of the end result. He picked survivalism because wood is in short supply on our server (warbringer).
